Long dead grass fronds brushed past the lanky tom's legs as he moved through the underbrush. An icy breeze blew through his thin fur sending a shiver down the chestnut cat's spine. "We're almost there kiddo, not too much further now." Rhys rolled his eyes a little as the all too familiar voice called from his side. "Explain to me again as to why exactly we're heading into Death Clan territory again? I thought you liked that we were all alone and stuff?" Now it was the other tom's turn to roll his own mismatched eyes. "After all we've been through you still don't see it? I mean I knew that you were dumb and all, but this, this is something else entirely!" A loud sigh escaped from the masked tom's mouth. "Fine, fine. You see the leader of this Clan, Drought, is dead. Which means that everyone and their flea-ridden mother will be vying for a position in the leader's chair. If you get in the game sooner than later, you, with my help of course, could very well end up on top of the pile!" Rhys blinked dumbly, before shaking his head a little. "That is some plan for sure Jack-"
Before Rhys could finish the other male cut him off. "Yeah, yeah I know kid, but I think there's someone nearby." Jack's eyes narrowed in the direction of a couple of bushes. Rhys let out an inaudible groan at the sight of the moving foliage. Please just let it be a mouse or something, please...

Static had been excited by picking up a new cat's scent.
She had been previously on the hunt, looking for some food to eat. She hadn't had much luck, when she'd picked up a scent. It was a new scent! She didn't notice that it didn't have enough Deathclan scent to be a Deathclanner, before she had broke into a run, pursuing the scent. It was a new cat to fight! She never had a doubt in her mind that her constant pursuit for a fight was a bad idea. After all, she had a dream she was going to fulfill!
She ran straight through some pushes to see some tom-cat with some cool looking eyes. He seemed to be about her age, maybe a bit younger. All in all, this would sure to be much more fun than that brick wall of a cat.
"Let's fight!" She exclaimed, her electric eyes sparkling with excitement.

Well it was most certainly not a mouse as another cat burst through into the small clearing. Instinctively Rhys tensed up and slid out his claws, quickly assessing the situation.
The he cat before him was a little smaller than himself, mostly due to him having insanely long legs for a cat his age. This fact allowed to lower his guard a little, but not much seeing as the she-cat had basically charged at him demanding a fight. Out of habit, Rhys cast a quick glance over to where Jack stood beside him. The chestnut tom saw pretty much what he expected. Jack was laughing as hard as he could, even falling to the ground, tail whipping about him as he did.
"Are you kidding me!? Oh man, I think even you could handle her no problem. Even without my help!" Jack pretended to wipe a tear from his eye before facing the pair and sneering. "But seriously, you should totally fight her."
Rhys blanked as he returned his gaze back to the other cat in front of him. Honestly he didn't know what to do. Sure it would be easier, and save him a headache later, if he just listened to Jack and fought her. She didn't seem like that tough and opponent. More talk than anything substantial. And yet at the same time, if on the off chance he lost, fresh injuries were probably not something that he'd want to be sporting once he finally made it to the camp. That and he wouldn't want Jack to have control over his body and have him fighting the she-cat.
With one last glance over at Jack, Rhys flexed his claws and smiled at the smaller cat. "Sure thing."

Static huffed, seeing the chestnut tom seemed to not think much of her!
He even looked away for a short while, as if looking for a way to avoid her! No way, she'd prove him wrong! She was tough and wasn't going to go down like that! She might not exactly be an adult yet, but she was tough enough! She'd beaten that she-cat recently! She could definitely kick this guy's tail off, no problem!
At least the tom actually accepted her challenge. Her claws swiftly slid out as she sprang over her new foe, aiming to land claws-first near the base of his tail. She made sure to lash out towards his head with her hindlegs an instant before her forepaws would touch where the base of his tail would be, should he not evade.

Originally Rhys was about to talk his way out the situation, see if there was anything to distract her with before making his "daring" escape. Sure not the best plan if he was shooting for a high ranking position, but he still wasn't all too keen on fighting for no reason other than to fight. However Jack soon disappeared beside him only to reappear within his head.
It was obvious that the other tom wanted to have some fun, and it would be much easier for everyone if Rhys simply relented and let the other male have what he wanted. So with Jack now partially in control of the chestnut tom's body, the pair faced the waiting she-cat.
Rhys watched as the she-cat flung herself at him, claws outstretched. Quickly he his body side step as Jack guided it at of the way, only to feel a sharp pain run up his spine from his lower back. Apparently she wasn't all talk after all.
Not allowing the pain to phase him too much, the tom whipped around to face the other. His sight settled into her right shoulder as began to run towards her left side, and Jack at the last second switched back over to the right to deliver the blow. Now all he had to hope for was that his claws hit their mark.

Static's forepaws missed their mark, but her hindlegs seemed to have caused some damage, no matter how small.
She managed to land on the other side of her opponent, quickly turning so she wouldn't have her back to him. She saw him turn as well. He seemed thoroughly undeterred by her attack and she grinned wildly. This was great! So much better than her last attempt at a fight!
She saw him run towards her left side, so she tried moving to her right to dodge, however his attack suddenly changed directions and his claws pierced her right shoulder. She hissed, voicing her pain, however powering through it to take advantage of his less than ideal position and she swiped downwards with her claws at the chestnut tom's face.

Rhys could practically feel Jack's rage building as the she-cat's claws connected with his face. Well more like the side of his face as Rhys had quickly jerked his head away from the oncoming claws. Still it hurt either way, pain now coming from his lower back and head.
His paws hit the ground with a soft this as he was knocked a little by the blow. He felt his body spring to life once more as Jack raced towards the gray cat. Any sort of well thought out attack had now been replaced by a force of sheer might. Which would have worked quite well if Rhys weren't such a string bean. Sure he might have been taller than the she-cat, but that didn't necessarily translate to physical strength. So when Rhys felt his body come to a halt, his claws digging into the earth as he prepared for his opponent's attack, he knew it probably wasn't going to end in his favor.

Static grinned with satisfaction, feeling her claws rake through her foe's face.
She hadn't hit where she wanted, but she'd gotten her claws through somewhere which is what mattered! That was her policy! Never be discouraged and never stop fighting, not for anything!
She had managed to knock him away slightly. Though, the chestnut tom seemed to lose any semblance of a plan, charging straight at her. She threw herself out of the way, quickly whipping back around to see him skidding to a halt, using his claws to generate friction to stop himself. She took the opportunity to leap for it and sprang towards the tom's flank, swiping sharply downward.

It all happened in a flash. The gray cat launching herself at him, claws outstretched. Rhys felt his body rise up only to slam back down onto the small of his opponent's back, claws holding them still. Yet the grip was just loose enough that she could probably slip away if she wriggled hard enough. Rhys wasn't quite sure as to why Jack wasn't just crushing her, but he figured it was probably to give her a sense that she could still win, only to have the opportunity plucked out from underneath of her.
It was obvious that Jack had quickly grown tired of "playing nice". He knew he couldn't flat out kill the she-cat without Rhys whining and complaining about it for days on end. Yet at the same time, he did not take to kindly Rhys being made a rag doll for someone else to throw around. The chestnut cat was his puppet after all, and Jack had never liked the idea of sharing.
"Have you had enough yet cupcake? Or do you want to keep going instead?" Jack's voice flowed out of Rhys' mouth like sand, stumbling and fumbling around in an attempt to form a coherent sentence. Jack wasn't all to pleased with how un-intimidating it sounded, and yet beggers certainly couldn't be choosers.

Static was surprised by her being caught.
Then he seemed to be asking for her surrender. She simply grinned, determination shining in her eyes. She was too stubborn and too dead set on achieving her dreams as fast as she could.
"No way!" She managed to wriggle out of the chestnut tom's grip fairly easily. She was determined to keep going! She wasn't going to die here, nor would she surrender! He'd have to knock her unconscious fair and square to get her to back down! She ran away a certain distance, before turning around and charging straight at her foe. She leapt at him, but at the last instant dropped down to the ground, as flat as she could, before she slashed upwards with her claws, determined to hit something, trying to make the wounds as deep as she could with her claws.

As annoying as the she-cat was with her enthusiastic attitude, Jack couldn't help but be a little amused by it. Hopefully Rhys had taken the loose way her held her down as a sign that he really wasn't going to kill the other cat. It apparently seemed so as more mobility was granted to him as Rhys relenquished a little bit more of his control to Jack.
The other easily wriggled out from underneath of him as expected, now bounding back towards him eye bright with enthusiasm. Jack took note as she leapt forward before dropping to the ground, claws striking upwards. However they caught nothing but open air as the chestnut tom lept away, only to twist and rake his claws down her exposed back. A wicked grin split his face.
Rhys could only watch with mixed emotions and regret knawing at his stomach. While he didn't comepletely agree with everything that Jack said or did, he trusted the apparition with his life. Rhys knew that Jack wouldn't allow anything to mortally wounded him, which in it of itself was a plus. However at the same time, the chestnut tom couldn't help but wonder what if he had stuck to his morals more, had never given Jack any kind of control. Would he have survived for as long as he did? While he wasn't 100% sure, the answer was most likely not. Rhys had to admit for as screwed up as Jack's mind was, the tom knew what he doing. Most of the time at least.

Static was in an extremely compromising position.
Her opponent had moved only too fast, raking his claws against her back, she hissed openly with pain. She ripped herself away from his claws and growled at Rhys. Dang it! She needed a new plan, and fast!
She sprang, aiming to land on his back, jaws first. She aimed to tear out some flesh from his back with her teeth, along with making some claw marks of her own, to both gain a grip and cause some damage.

The attack, while it had been very effective, had brought him closer into range for an attack from the she-cat. Seeing as he didn't leap away right after, the distance between himself and her wasn't as large as Jack would have liked. So with limited room, his mobility was greatly hindered. His hissed a little as he felt a dull pain flood from Rhys' back. Thank god Rhys was able to take a hit, or else this fight could have gone south a long time ago.
However he could feel Rhys becoming more and more tired with each new attack, knowing that soon enough the pansy's body was going to give out. With that in mind, Jack quickly reared up on his hind legs and aimed to slam the she-cat riding on his back into a nearby rock. Hopefully to dislodge her.

Static had managed to get her claws into her opponent.
Then suddenly the tom reared up and she was flung off, although not without tearing more flesh from the tom from suddenly being dislodged. Her back slammed into the rock and she bit her tongue upon impact. She was tired, exhaustion catching up with her along with the wounds on her back, shoulder, along with the shallow cuts on her flank.
She felt a little dizzy from hitting the rock with her head. She looked up. Static gritted her teeth. Throwing any semblance of a plan out the window, she lunged forward at the tom claws aimed towards his face.

It was becoming quite evident that his opponent was suffering from both her wounds and exhaustion. Which was good, seeing as it meant the fight wouldn't continue for too much longer. As much as Jack enjoyed a good fight, this was starting to get rather tedious. He hadn't expected it to drag on for as long as it did. Usually fights with him lasted only a minute or two, ending when Jack savagely defeated them. Perhaps it was the fact that he was playing it more tactfully, not trying to kill the other, but more drive them off, or something like that.
As the she-cat got to her paws and flat out charged at him, Jack smiled a little as he swerved to the side, snaking a paw out in another attempt to claw at her sides.
