Fernsnake had a large wad of moss and bracken in her jaws as she walked into the warrior den. She breathed out a low sigh and placed the bundle in an empty spot in the den. "And my new life begins." she muttered quietly, spreading out moss and bracken to make a reasonable sized nest. She lay down in the nest, getting a feel for it. Hmph. Needs more moss. She stood up again and walked straight into another cat. "Oh, sorry." she said quickly, flicking her ear.

(this title is my reason for posting omg)
Shrewclaw was simply moving spots as it got darker. He moved from a shady spot at the edge of the camp to his nest in the warrior's Den—or at least he tried to. As soon as he entered, a smaller female ran head on into his chest. He stepped back, blinking shocked, orange eyes her way. He definitely hadn't been expecting that. "Oh," he said after a moment, not sure of what else to say. "It's okay."

Fernsnake smiled slightly but nodded her head. "Good that." she responded after a bit. "Uh - I'm Fernpaw - no, sorry, Fernsnake." she said quickly, flicking her tail in embarrassment.

He laughed, a bit awkwardly might I add, when she introduced herself. "Are you… new then?" He asked quietly, not quite comfortable around her yet. That much was obvious, but it wasn't something to take personally. He was just awkward—until you got to know him, of course. "O-oh! Mine is Shrewclaw." He chuckled in embarrassment when he realized he'd forgotten to introduce himself in return. Compared to her name, his seemed incredibly bland in his opinion.

Fernsnake nodded. "Well, yeah. I mean, I'm new. I-I... yeah." she said quickly, then perked up. "That's a nice name!" she commented, then added, "It suits you." After a moment of silence, she tried to cut the awkwardness. "So... you been a warrior for long?"

"O-oh, thanks!" He responded, slightly surprised. He'd never thought it was, but the comment definitely made him feel better. "..So is your's." He offered a small smile. "Umm, not really. Three or four moons, maybe." He said, falling into an awkward silence. After a few minutes, he finally found something to say. "Ar should, uh, remodeling your nest... or something..?"

Fernsnake silently touted to ten, and when nothing happened, she opened her mouth to say something. She didn't know what. However, Shrewclaw said something first. She silently thanked CloudClan for not making her talk at the same time that he was. "Ah, yeah, I'm just finishing up." she said with relief. "Where's your nest?"

Shrewclaw nodded. "Do you, ahem, need any help?" He suggested curiously. He was always up for something to do—well, that wasn't true. He actually usually didn't like doing anything. "Over there, by the wall sort of," he responded, his voice soft. He nodded in the general direction.

Fernsnake looked over to the place where Shrewclaw had gestured. "Ok." she said quietly, then flashed a small smile in his direction. "Yeah, actually, that would be great." she said, nudging the rest of the lichen and moss forward. "I have no idea how to make a nest. My friend made mine in the Apprentice Den."

"Oh," he responded with a small nod. "It...it's pretty easy." He rolled the moss into a ball and picked it up, giving her a dubious look. "Where is it?"

Fernsnake pointed towards a small jumble of moss and bracken in the corner. "It's there. I-uh, it's a bit messy. A lot messy." she said, then cursed silently in her head. She trotted over, poking the mess with a claw. "Thanks for this." she said, blushing slightly.

"That's okay," he responded, setting down the ball of moss. She straightened up the area a bit, then began to weave pieces of the moss together. "No... problem," he responded awkwardly over the moss between his teeth. After a few minutes he stepped back, a decent sized nest before him. He chuckled awkwardly. "I hope you'll fit..?"

Fernsnake watched on with wide eyes as Shrewclaw got to work. She smiled slightly and looked at him sideways. "Whoa, thanks!" the fluffy cat prodded the moss with a claw before managing to settle in. It was a little bigger than usual, but it felt good to be able to stretch. "So you're a professional nest maker now?" she asked, smiling.

(Victor , sorry this is so late!!)
He smiled awkwardly, suddenly feeling self conscious. Was it weird to be good at making nests? He didn't want to seem weird. "No problem," he said, watching as she curled up. Ah, I made it too big. Should I remake it? Of course I messed this up, too. But she seemed fine with it. "No... not exactly." He laughed.
