In the Daylight (P)

All morning, Arrowkit had been bored out of his mind. Now he was battling a dry clump of grass back and forth between his paws, once in a while hooking it with his claw and throwing it up in the air. His usually bright eyes were dull with boredom, and his friends were off doing something else. As Arrowkit was playing with the grass, a strong breeze blew in and picked the clump up, throwing it way out of the territory. He sighed. As a kit, he wasn't even allowed out of the nursery, much less the territory. How boring could it get? The daylight streaked through the canopies overhead, blinding Arrowkit temporarily. As his vision cleared, there was a kit standing in front of him. He shook his head. "Hello?"

 Ferretkit had been bored of doing nothing. She hated the nursery it was noisy and crazy. The kitten was not allowed in camp yet too! Ferretkit fixed her gaze onto a tom-kit that looked friendly. Maybe I should say hi. "hello Im Ferretkit you?" she murmured shyly waiting for a response from him

Arrowkit smiled at the new kit, even though he still couldn't make out her face in the bright sunlight. "I'm Arrowkit," he replied, happy to talk to someone for once.

[Ferretkit]

  Ferretkit smiled. "Well nice to meet you Arrowkit. I'm Ferretkit" she meowed. The striped she-kit twitched her tail. "You want to do something maybe?"

"I would love to do something," Arrowkit replied. "What did you have in mind?" Arrowkit squinted, starting to see patterns on the other kit's pelt. She was striped, perhaps a brown tabby like himself? "Follow me," he mewed, smiling, leading her out of the sun to a shadowy place. He had stored a mossball there earlier, but he didn't enjoy playing with them.

 Ferretkit shrugged and then meowed. "Ok" The striped kitten wondered what the tom-kit's plans were

As Ferretkit followed Arrowkit, he quickly pulled the mossball from where he was placed it earlier, throwing it in the air. He looked up and mewed, "It's raining moss balls!" As it came out of his mouth, he almost started giggling, and snorted to try to stop, then let out a short laugh.
