Olivefrost padded quietly into the nursery, an array of flowers hanging from her jaws. The (temporary) Queen had snuck out early in the morning to fetch the small bouquet from the TreeClan territory, picking up various flowers that couldn't be found withing the confines of camp. It was approaching sun-high now, and it was likely her kittens would already be awake. Her face set in it's normal expressionless state (despite her content mood), she sat down and began sorting the flowers into neat, separate piles. The small warrior's eyes lit up as she looked at the varying shades of petals. She had been born in the middle of leaf-bare, meaning that were weren't nearly as many interesting things to observe or question while she was kitten. The little she-cat was glad her children would have so many things to see and experience as they grew up. Once her sorting was done Olivefrost took a moment to lay her head down and rest, planning on getting up to find one of her kits if they didn't approach her first.

A striped fluffy kitten's green eyes fixed on Olivefrost her mother. She purred and ran towards her. "Hi Mamma" the striped kitten murmured

Olivefrost watched as one of her kittens, Ferretkit, approached her. Her olive-hued eyes soften, and despite her normally cold demeanor a smile ebbed at the corner of her lips. "Hello, little one," she mewed gently, her usual sharp tone smoothed down and soft. If she was in Ferretkit's paws, she would have never believed that the cat she was now--softly showing emotion and gazing with love down at a kit of her own--was her.
As the initial wave of love that the pale brown warrior felt for her daughter faded, her facial expression began to seep back to it's normal stoicism. Although that didn't mean she was any less glad to see her child. Olivefrost leaned over and pressed her nose gently to the smaller she-kit's forehead, giving her a gentle lick between the ears before pulling back. "How has your day been?" the temporary queen asked, momentarily ignoring the array of flowers in favor of listening to her kitten.

Ferretkit smiled at her mother. "It's going great Mama. I spent time with Dustkit" she meowed waiting for a response

"You did?" the temporary queen mewed, glad to hear that her children were spending time together, "how's he doing?," she quirked her head curiously to the side. She knew her son lacked the ability to see, which was ironic considering the fact that sight was the sense that Olivefrost relied upon most. She wasn't particularly close with her son for this reason, not knowing how to approach him or speak to him. That didn't mean she loved him any less though. "The other kit's aren't bothering him are they--or you either, for that matter," the pale browns she-cat lay down on her stomach so that she could hold eye contact with her daughter.

Ferretkit smiled. "He's doing great. No one has been bothering us" the kitten told her (Sorry if it's short I'm lazy today)

"That's good to hear," Olivefrost mewed, leaning over and pressing her nose momentarily to her kitten's head, "but if someone gives you, or any of your siblings, a hard time, just come tell me okay?" the pale brown she-cat leaned back and looked into Ferretkit's eyes, her own gleaming with motherly protection.
