There was always that one kit. That one kit who was actually antisocial, would rather be by herself than play with the others.
Darkkit was that one kit.
Darkkit was lonely, sure, but she liked to be by herself. So being alone and feeling lonely were things she was used to. And she didn't want to play those kit games, anyways. She wanted someone she could just... Talk to.
But you know how kits are. All playful and junk.
So Darkkit was alone again today, watching the moonlit sky.

Tinykit padded out of the nursery den, her paws carrying her, but her mind thinking of something entirely different. The moon... she'd never seen it, but her mother had told her its name once she was born. She had described it as a pale crescent, half or circle in the sky, illuminating the entire night sky in a way so very different in comparison to the sun.
She wondered what the moon was like... though her thoughts were suddenly interrupted as she skidded to a halt once running into another kit.
"Oops, my fault! I'm not exactly new to the whole "you're living" thing, sorry," she yelped, looking up at the other kitten. Her eyes instinctively swept over the entire kit, taking in their size. Either they were huge or she was incredibly small. Her name was Tinykit...
"I just came to look at the moon."

Darkkit barely noticed the tiny kitten that had nearly ran into her. She was more fascinated by the moon and the way it shone in the dark sky. "...the moon is full tonight," she said simply, her blue eyes glowing with a warmness rarely seen by others.
She finally turned to the other kit, her eyes still glittering.
"...yes, the moon is full tonight. At this state, the moon is like a huge, round disk, shedding its light on everything around it. The most beautiful thing in the sky." Darkkit looked the smaller kit up and down, well aware that due to her tiny size, she must be a bit intimidated. "...come. Watch the moon with me," the fluffy black she-kit offered, turning back to the sky.

Tinykit listened intently as the other kit spoke. She sounded a bit wiser than expected for a kit her age! Maybe she was almost an apprentice? It didn't seem likely.
She shifted her curious gaze back at the moon, trying to take in how bright it was. Her mother had told her about the moon and sun, but she'd never seen the sun since her eyes had only just recently opened.
"Can ask I what your name is?" Tinykit peeped, keeping her gaze fixed on the moon and sky. She could see tiny sparkles littering the sky like two-leg pollution. She didn't know just yet what they were called, though.

"...Darkkit," the fluffy black Persian replied, turning her blue gaze to the much smaller, younger kit. "...I see you are looking so intently at the sparkles peppering the sky. Those are the stars. They are so tiny, yet so bright, sparkling against the darkness of the night sky..." Darkkit was indeed wise for her age, but only because she mostly spent her time listening to elder tales or her mother's own. She had learned a lot from them. "...did you know that the very sun is a star?" she asked, turning to the kit.
