Eli walked quietly through the tall, golden stalks of grass, scowling slightly when some accidentally entered his mouth. The sun was too bright and warm for his liking, but he managed to find some shade from the meadow grass. He continued to walk until the weeds began to thin and the grass wasn't so tall, and saw, in front of him, a shape. "Hello?" He called curiously. Rainer

Blue turned his head to see a face he'd seen once before. "Hey." He called quietly. He wasn't exactly expecting company. Blue had only recently begun to establish a group around these parts. While he knew well it was still small he was hoping to expand it. The Rovers weren't anything special yet but he was hoping more from it. Even if its growth was slow.
"Eli, right?"

The large fluffy tom pricked his ears for a response, continuing to pad closer to the familiar cat. "That's me," he responded casually as he came closer. He paused in front of the other. "And... Blue, yes?" It took Eli a moment to remember the Rover's Leader's name, but it came quickly.

Blue dipped his head and sat down. "Yep, I'd be Blue. In more ways than my name." He had a sense of amusement in his voice but his face for some reason seemed to remain stiff and what remained was almost a serious expression. His facial expression didn't seem to change much.
"What are you doing out in the meadow today?" He cocked his head, though maybe his face didn't show it his voice showed his curiosity that was carried along with his question.

Eli tilted his head curiously, his striking blue eyes curious. "Blue as in sad, then? What for?" He inquired, flicking his fluffy tail back and forth. The sun, without the shade and protection of the tall grass, was beating forcefully onto his back, adding an extra layer of unneeded warmth. The air was already hot enough—he didn't need the extra direct sunlight.
When Blue asked a question, he shrugged. He was out in the meadow for a few reasons. He wanted to clear his head, and the fresh air seemed like a great idea. He was, as well as Blue, sad. He had come to think of Drought as a friend and, well, he'd passed. But, he wasn't about to tell Blue that. "Just a walk. What about you?"
