The sun rose, and a river of colours streamed into the sky. Long, pale, fragile-looking lashes fluttered open to reveal eyes of lilac. Orchidkit blinked - once, twice, three times - in rapid succession as the sunlight invaded her vision. She rose to pearly paws, letting her drowsiness fall as she watched the night disappear; she watched shafts of sunlight illuminate the formless darkness of the earth. The sleeping forms around her shifted. Orchidkit knew the warning signs. She slipped from the row of her waking siblings, and studied her surroundings as she did every morning. She wasn't sure why she did this. Habit, she supposed. But how had that habit come about in the first place? A voice roused Orchidkit from her musings, and her ears swivelled before her body to pinpoint the disruption. "Hello. Who're you?" she greeted, opening and closing her eyes slowly.

The sun was shining on Sorrelkit's fur as the kitten slept. The Turkish agora blinked her olive eyes and scanned her surroundings. Trying not to awake anyone Sorrelkit murmured to the kitten who had greeted her. "I'm Sorrelkit you?"

Orchidki's lilac gaze rested gently on Sorrelkit, acknowledging her with a slight tilt of her head, and a half-smile. Her lilac gaze rested gently on Sorrelkit, and when she spoke, she matched the kitten's volume, to prevent her next words from being audible to others. She deduced it would turn uncomfortable if the conversation was joined by another; even now, Orchidkit's smile was becoming toothy, and somewhat embarrassed. "Call me Orchid," the kitten ventured, lowering her lilac eyes to her minuscule paws. The lilac point Siamese was rather small; smaller than her denmates; smaller than she should be. Her tail, tipped with soft silver, whisked through the air restlessly, and long, pale, delicate-looking lashes veiled her anxious gaze.
