Dreamwish stared at her surroundings. She was still getting used to her surroundings. Images of the avalanche still flashed in her mind. Snow may seem harmless, but it can be deadly. She certainly learned that when the avalanche struck.

She wondered how her clan-mates felt during the avalanche. Probably scared, confused, and/or determined. Determined by something. But that wasn't everything she wanted to know. How were other things feeling? Maybe twolegs... clicking on some devices. Metal devices. But people would think she was crazy if she said that.

The silver tabby slowly picked her way along the new land. She hated the scent it gave, nothing like home she thought bitterly. She spotted a fellow Iceclanner whose name did escape her, she made a bee line towards the other female, and spoke softly "How are you Coping" it was something the all were doing just few spoke of the issue. She then relised if she didn't know this felines name the term would be likewise with a quick addition she added "I'm RiverShade"

Dreamwish was almost getting lost in thoughts when a clanmate came up to her. "I've been coping fine," Dreamwish said, "Nice to meet you, Rivershade. My name is Dreamwish." She curiously looked around the barn. There were plenty of areas that might have mice.

[Rivershade]

RiverShade nodded, "Good to hear" she gave a small well meaning smile of course there was some sadness with in it but whose didn't? "It's nice to meet you as well DreamWish" the russet and black feline seemed to be looking for food? "Do you mind if I join you?" she gestured to the barn inticating she would like to hunt along side the clan mate. River didn't thinks she would be able to stomach anything but hey you never no.

"No, we could catch more prey with more cats." Dreamwish said. There were bigger things to worry about than hunting. Like, are there any twolegs around here? She went into the barn, looking for mice. Scenting a mouse after a bit, she leaped onto some dry grass in blocks. From there she saw the mouse, then pounced on it and before it could react, she nipped it's neck.

" Can I help?" She squeaked softly as she jumped up beside the warrior her. The name had slipped her mind but she shook it off, eager to contribute to the clan. She was still fairly sore, she had been trampled pretty bad in the avalanche but she was determined to help.

"That's up for both of us to decide." Dreamwish said, pointing her tail towards Rivershade. It might be helpful to have a kit around. Plus, it would help the kit with hunting training.

Featherkit's eyes widened in surprise, joy quickly taking over and she bounced excitedly. " Does this mean you will teach me how to hunt?" She waved her tail impatiently, eyes gleaming with excitement.

[Rivershade]

River shrugged and gave a small smile at the enthusasm coming from the small kitten. She turned to Dream, who had already made a kill. "I don't see why not" she looked at the small feline, noting though not in perfect shape she wasn't dead, "Alright, First you need to learn the basics" she gave a small smile having had tons of apprentices this was clock work. "What can you smell?"

Featherkit sniffed the air eagerly, retrieving mostly hay scent. She closed her eyes and forced herself to focus for any scent of prey." I smell obviously a lot of hay, its pretty over powering." She admitted, perking her ears in concentration." I smell a mouse!" She stated in triumph, puffing out her chest as though she had just accomplished her greatest life goal. She felt proud, maybe it was the fact warrior were actually teaching her to hunt, or it could just be that she was extra excited. She didn't know. Featherkit lifted her tail happily, waiting for one of them to tell her what to do next.

Dreamwish also scented mouse, but scenting wasn't the only part of hunting. "Do you think you can find that mouse?" She asked. Looking at the kit, she suppressed a purr looking at Featherkit looking so proud.

She sniffed again, trying desperately to pinpoint the mouse. She wasn't nervous, not that she was confident either, she just didn't think about it. She remembered her mother telling her a trick in hide and seek, shut off all your other senses except for your nose. Featherkit squeezed her eyes shut and folded her ears back, trying to block everything else out. Opening her mouth slightly, she directed her nose to the main scent. She slowly walked forward, not bothering to crouch, and stopped when she could hear the small creature moving. She forgot all about the warriors and that she should probably ask what to do next, instead leaping forward towards it. The mouse scurried out of her reach and she slipped on some hay, yelping in surprise and crushing the rodent with her side. She stood up in surprise and looked down at the messy, accidental kill. Featherkit smiled sheepishly at the warriors, picking up the squashed mouse and dropping it next to them. " At least I caught it!" She grinned, tilting her head to the side playfully.

Dreamwish nodded. "Good job." She said. Featherkit had accidentally killed the mouse, bit she had still killed it.
