Crevicefrost had woken up kinda early. She missed Badgerpaw but right now the young warrior had to give her apprentice some training and teach him how to survive. "Squirrelpaw training." She meowed waiting for her apprentice. |

Squirrelpaw was startled from sleep by his mentor's voice. He'd been pretty restless all night, what with being around so many unfamiliar cats and also being in a strange environment, so he'd only gotten a bit of sleep towards dawn. However, he could hardly nap all day; Crevicefrost was waiting for him.
The grey apprentice yawned and went over to the older she-cat. "Morning," he meowed sleepily. |

Even the mentor needed a tour. The place was very unfamiliar. "Good morning Squirrelpaw. Today we are going to explore and then we will try to hunt" Crevicefrost was unsure of what to do.

Right, the tour. Squirrel couldn't help feeling like it was a huge letdown that he wasn't going to be able to explore the mountain territory like he'd been dreaming of for so long. Although the idea of checking out this unfamiliar territory was intriguing, it just wasn't the same. And how would they hunt? Weren't all his Clanmates used to hunting in the mountains? Maybe some of the techniques would still work, but he wasn't sure.

"Umm I don't really know. I'm not sure because I have not explored yet. We'll see what we can find" Crevicefrost murmured. The young warrior did not know where to start. "Follow me"

His ears twitched. "Has anyone else explored yet?" Squirrelpaw asked as he headed after Crevicefrost. Surely there had already been a few patrols, but at the same time, he supposed they wouldn't be close to knowing every mouse-length of the new territory just yet.

"Probably some have but not much" the she-cat murmured. "I don't think that we'll get lost. WE won't go that far" Crevicefrost told him. The area was so open. Crevice missed the mountains

Squirrel considered this momentarily. If they weren't going far, did it really count as exploration? He looked around the territory: it was so flat and full of plants rather than rocks. This wasn't as nice as the mountains.
Maybe they'd see something interesting to make up for it. |

Crevicefrost led him into the grassy area. It was not as nice as the mountains. Now I know how FireClan feelings. "Tell me, what can you observe about this place. Explain please" Crevicefrost asked her apprentice.

He halted near his mentor in an area with lots of long stalks of grass; they tickled his nose and caused him to sneeze. While trampling some of them to make a space for himself, Squirrelpaw tried to examine his surroundings.
"It looks like the prairie that everyone talks about FireClan living on. I think Maplefrost told me that cats used to live out here, in a group, but they've left by now. Um, it's all flat and not like our territory. There's no river to fish from either. How will we hunt here?" |

Crevicefrost thought for a moment. "We will come up with new ways to hunt and adapt to our new surroundings" the mackerel brown tabby told him. "You want to try hunting here or keep exploring?"

 SQUIRRELPAW OF ICECLAN Squirrelpaw wasn't too sure about that; the entire Clan changing its way of life overnight sounded sorta dramatic. It would take time for them to adjust fully, and wouldn't they be starving by then? Furthermore, why change if they were just going to go back to the mountains?
This relocation was temporary, wasn't it?
"Can we try hunting?" asked the apprentice. He sorta wanted to check out the territory on his own time, when he could freely wander around and investigate everything that he was itching to see, without having to stay near his mentor. Crevicefrost gave her apprentice a small smile. "Sure" she told him. This was going to be hard. The young warrior was not used to hunting on the plains, Crevicefrost sniffed the air for any scent of prey. "Try to find a mouse or some kind of small prey and then try to catch it. I'll give you some advice after"
