Life was good for Saylile. She may not have been a very old wolf, being close to two years of age, but she knew hardship as well as she knew peace. And it was peace she sought out most of all. In this world, you were handed two things--life and death. It was what you used with your first gift before the second that made a life meaningful. And that was what Saylile planned to do. As a pup, she had grown up in distant lands and learned the traditions of her former pack. And when she left for personal reasons, the Red Wolf decided starting a pack of her own with the same traditions wasn't such a bad idea. She did have Alpha blood, so it wasn't like she didn't know the ways of leading--towards a peaceful future, she believed. And Lupus was guiding her paws well, she also believed.
Finding her way along the borders of her new territory, the scent markers faint with how few of members the Lily of the Valley pack had, Saylile's green eyes suddenly spotted the shape of a stranger wolf on the other side of the Bonding River. The water were shallow here, with small little patches of land poking through, and with quick bounces Saylile found herself on the other side and only a few tree-lengths from the wolf, Major. "Hello there. I haven't met you before." Then again, she had only met her Beta, Ash.

The maned wolf stood staring at the shallow waters of a stream. It did not have a name nor did he care to give it one. He stared into it with hate, seeing him self linked to so many memory's they used to be painful now they simply like the stream had moved on. As he sat and pondered the past events intensly he wondered if this was all that was too him.. Am I really just a beast... A monster. He blinked a few times as the scent of a stranger entered his keen nose. Instantly alert he stood and pivoted with ears and tail high, he spotted a red hued female. He shook his pelt before she spoke, "Hello there. I haven't met you before." He instantly felt a dominance, over the situation. So few haven't met him self or even heard of him.. it was rather insulting she didn't have a clue. He growled in a much less friendly tone than the one she had greeted him self with, "Nor Have I you," he scanned her she scented of another wolf. but not many strange? He added still with a intense growl. "Who are you, and why do you cross my boarders?" he was slightly intrigued at the notion the last female to do was an alpha and her pack had suffered for her pride... oh well, maybe this one will be different.

Saylile gave her head a tilt. Was he a bit aggressive? It seemed that way, but nothing if not expected. They were wolves, and wolves were certainly known for hostility. Gesturing to the other side of the river, Saylile offered up a response. "I'm new in the area. I've decided to become Alpha of a pack--a fairly small pack, sadly, but peaceful. I've decided that this river is the end of our borders. So it seems we are neighbors, with you either being a pack wolf or a lone one. Whichever one is fine. I don't intent on making enemies." Saylile paused for a moment to let her words sink in. And then she offered a soft smile. She hoped he wouldn't be too mean towards her just because she claimed the title of Alpha. It wasn't like her pack posed a threat to him, or anyone really. Nor would she ever want to be such a pack. They were meant to be a friendly group, that took care of their ranks and lived peaceful lives. So to make a friend here would benefit them greatly later, rather than unbeneficial through enemy titles.
Blinking for a moment, Saylile realized she hadn't said her name, and with a soft sigh at her forgetfulness she went on. "Jeez, am I rude. Sorry, my name is Saylile. I should have said that from the beginning, whoops." And she laughed care-free after that. When her laughter had stopped, she gave the male wolf a calculating, yet sincerely innocent look. "So, what's your name?"

He listend while he watched almost studied the female. He was surpised to hear both she was part of a pack one he had not heard about then she announced she was it's alpha. He felt irritation as she claimed to have moved her own boarders to his own. "You have decided have you" he raised his head, ears pressed into a practiced dominace position. "I my self am of a Pack" he growled a bit less friendly than his fist speach. He did not move, standing tall and stiff. "You don't intend to make enemies?"He laughed, this was amusing to hear an alpha not wishing for more... more land more power.. just more ingeneral. She seemed much differnt from most wolves let along those who held the title of alpha. He tilted his head as she rambled over something about having not said her own name. Witch she gave as Saylile. He dipped his head only half way still showing respect however not being as friendly as most others would be. "I'm Major, Alpha of the Shadow Dwellers Pack" he wanted to see if his name would gain any expression from her... fear?Recodnition? anything.

{ laaate, but just made it! }
Saylile perked her ears as he explained who he was. Major of the Shadow Dwellers Pack? she mused, feeling the need to remember this. Well, of course, this was a neighboring pack here. With a respectful dip of her own head, Saylile offered a warm smile. At least they had something in common, then, just a bit. "Interesting. Well, I'm glad to meet you now, then. Rather than having an accidental disturbance between our packs." The russet wolf glanced towards the river, her eyes looking quite distant for a moment before turning back to him slowly. "If you're here, that must mean your pack owns these lands. Perhaps we can discuss borders, then? I wasn't right to just claim this river as mine, when you've been here longer." she murmured, and then began to go on into explanation. They were Alphas, it was only right they come to a peaceful agreement.
"I thought our territory would run all along this river, until is branches off farther off down it's path. Just on the one side, though. It is a valid marker, and well needed resource for us, and probably your pack as well? Would you be willing to share it with us, Major?" Saylile slightly hesitated on his name. She almost wanted to respectfully call him 'Alpha Major', as that seemed right to addressing one in higher power. But as she was an Alpha as well, the russet wolf had to start viewing him as an equal. Stay peaceful and friendly, of course, but bowing down in submission was not the correct action to be done. So instead she just waited for his reply patiently.
