Autumndust wasn't sure what she was supposed to be doing, honestly. She had stepped out of the nursery in order to breathe in the fresh air, and possibly speak to somebody new, but now that she was outside, she didn't exactly feel confident enough to walk up to somebody and introduce herself. She was aware she could come off as rather shy and when she was trying to actually branch out (which she already didn't do enough) her introverted-ness became rather problematic. She shifted nervously on her paws, looking around the camp for somebody who seemed a little friendly, or at least somebody who wasn't busy talking to somebody else. She'd hate to interrupt.

Soon enough her eyes landed on a tom not too far away. She couldn't recognize him from the back, though she had a feeling she probably should have recognized him. The new queen exhaled deeply, trying to convince herself that it wouldn't kill her to simply talk to somebody. Autumndust nodded to herself, stood up, and walked up to the tom, clearing her throat somewhat awkwardly once she was close enough for him to hear.

However, her temporary confidence boost decided that it was the perfect moment to bounce out, and it left her wondering why in the world she had thought this was a good idea to begin with. It was too late to turn back now, though, and the tom might have already seen her. "Ahm- h-hi," she stammered nervously, trying to find her voice. "I'm trying to- uh- oh, dear, let me start over..." She cleared her throat again, cheeks heating up in embarrassment before she spoke once more. "I'm Autumndust- I don't think we've met? Or- have we?"

I looked around the camp, my amber eyes flicking and locking on the exit and entrance of the camp. I had been keeping an insanely high guard on it since Spiderstar requested me to not let cats in and out of camp unless permitted. I made sure only hunting and border patrols went out on high guard. If anyone snuck past me, I would find it my fault that I didn't watch close enough.

Because of my new obsession of watching the tunnel, I had lost almost all signs of communicating with other cats. My tail twitched in agitation, ears flicking at the rustle of the leaves on the ground. Suddenly, a voice spoke up and pulled me from my thoughts. My fiery gaze flicked to the she-cat who approached me. Autumndust? Isn't she-

"I know you," I meowed quickly. "You're the new queen we assigned. Perhaps you forgot who I am." The tunnel can wait. "I'm Arrowstrike. Ring a bell?"

Autumndust's eyes widened when she remembered who the tom was. "Oh- oops- sorry," she meowed quickly, wincing slightly. "I'm afraid I'm rather...bad with names and faces." She then gave a small, nervous smile, a little more motivated since despite her completely forgetting who he was, Arrowstrike didn't exactly seem mad at her for it. As good a start as any, she supposed. "I suppose I didn't exactly have to introduce myself, since you already knew who I was..." She paused for a moment, thinking of how to continue. She hadn't exactly planned on getting this far without stumbling over something and calling it quits.

"Were you...keeping watch over the exit?" she asked, somewhat warily. He had seemed to be intently watching it earlier, but Autumndust was out of the loop and couldn't think of a reason why that might be the case. Or perhaps she had been told, and simply forgotten. That wouldn't be so surprising- she could be rather forgetful at times. "Did something happen?"
