Heavykit I padded away from the warriors' den, my tail flicking behind me. It was a rather cool day since it was new leaf. I wasn't really fond of cold weather, so the sudden change in temperature irked me. Then again, the wind did bounce around the rocks, which made it even colder. CloudClan, why did I have to live in one of the coldest clans. I sighed as I padded to the fresh-kill pile, by speckled head turning back and forth. I didn't really see any familiar cats out today, which was odd. Then again, I wasn't the most social cat. I couldn't remember the last real conversation I had with someone. I always go to sleep in the den when my duties are done and over with. In this case, I was getting something to stop the grumbling in my stomach. I was going through the pile, picking out a water vole when I noticed a kit nearby. I wasn't fond of kits, but he looked big enough to be an apprentice... perhaps he wasn't as bad as I was making him out to be. But I wasn't sure if I wanted to call him over. I really just wanted to eat my prey. But, my mouth opened anyway to greet him. "A-ah... hello?"

Heavykit was so, so happy. His six moons old day was approaching, which meant he'd finally be a 'paw and he'd get a mentor and train. Oh man, the thought of training always send him on a spiral. To learn how to hunt and fight, to feed and protect the Clan, it all seemed unreal. He had dreamed about that day for so long, but in reality he was also a bit afraid. What if he wasn't strong enough or fast enough? What if the warriors didn't find him mature or brave and so they kept treating him like a kit? After all, he hadn't really interacted with any warriors the past six moons. Only his brother and Fernkit really knew him well, and even then they didn't exactly go out every day to play and practice.
Heavykit was just about to get some food when he heard an older cat speak. He stopped and looked towards the voice, which sounded either anxious or unsure of itself. Heavykit smiled at him and padded closer. "Hi there, did you need something?" He asked politely. Maybe this cat thought he was an apprentice and was going to ask him to do chores! Just the thought of being mistaken for an apprentice made Heavykit's blood rush.
The cat was one he had never actually seen before. An older warrior, although maybe not a senior warrior. Heavykit only knew a few warriors, like Nightsong and Ripplefur, so it wasn't like this cat was an outcast, but Heavykit couldn't help but wonder who he was.
