Darkpool RiverPaw Dreamwish got up from her nest in the barn. She yawned then groomed herself, then went to Riverpaw's nest and prodded her with one of him paws and said, "Hunting patrol." She went to Darkpool's nest and did the same for her. Going to the barn entrance, she waited for her patrol to meet her there.

Riverpaw woke with a start and went straight to the barn entrance guessing what place to meet. He nodded to his mentor and waited for the other cat.,

Darkpool's deep blue eye was staring at the wall as Dreamwish came up to her and poked her. The black she-cat struggled to her paws, still limping. Her one eye would definitely prove a disadvantage, but she blinked slowly and followed Dreamwish out of the barn. "So where should we look first?" she asked, flicking her tail.

"We should look around the area around the barn." Dreamwish said. She looked around at her surroundings, and the barn was loaded with dry grass and the plains were golden, the grass blown by the wind. Getting up, she stretched.

"Maybe even a bit near the meadow, also can we hunt?" He meowed excitedly following his mentor hoping to hunt and catch a mouse.

Dreamwish looked at Darkpool, the only cat who had not gotten up yet. "Where do you want to go, Darkpool?" She asked Darkpool. It was only fair that every cat got a word about where they hunt in a hunting patrol.

Darkpool shrugged. "I don't mind. I'm just trying to figure out if I can help the clan with my stupid foot and eye." she said, slowly getting up and following Riverpaw out of the barn.

Dreamwish nodded. Leading her patrol out of the barn, she scented rabbit in the plains. It was fairly fresh, by the smell of it. She saw it a little far away, and said, "Rabbit."

Darkpool's ears flicked as she watched the white animal nibbling on... grass. That's what it's called. It was a strange sight, very different from the usual fish and birds in the mountains. "How do you know what that thing is? How the heck do we even kill it?" she murmured, unsheathed her claws and digging them into the... dirt. Everything was so new and unusual that Darkpool felt like a kit again. She didn't like that feeling. Frustration flashed in her one deep blue eye, and she flicked her tail aggressively. "I wish there was a river. We could hunt something we actually know how to hunt."

"Maybe, we can bite it like fish," he meowed looking at the strange sight.

"Should we go after the thing?" Dreamwish said, her eyes narrowing against the wind. Her tailtip twitched slightly, wanting to know how you even catch a rabbit.

"No, we ask the loners how to catch them," he meowed not wanting to waste prey.

Darkpool rolled her eyes. "Well, there probably are loads more of these things out there, so why don't we try and kill it? Look, it has long legs, good for running. That could mean that it's fast. And its ears are long, good for hearing predators." she said, then shrugged. "Up to you guys, though."

"Alright. Be quiet and run at it when it's near. Seems simple enough." Dreamwish said. She started to sneak up on the rabbit, staying in the tall grass. Then she accidentally stepped on a dry piece of grass that crunched when she stepped on it. The rabbit heard the crunch and started bolting. She started running after it, surprisingly fast for an IceClanner. Leaping, she landed on top of the rabbit and bit it's neck.

"A rabbit is, a rabbit at least we caught something," he paused before starting again," I don't think the meadow is the best place to hunt,"
