MosskitPaleheart paced into the camp, a small bird being held delicately in his jaws. He hated the thought of himself killing an innocent creature, but he had to help to clan. He wandered by the nursery and dropped it by for the kits to eat. "Hello?" He meowed, dropping the dead bird.

Mosskit loved the thought of hunting. Not because she was killing something. She didn't quite like the thought of death. But she liked it because it was so grown up and took skill and it seemed like a rush. She had only ever caught small, slow things, like butterflies or other insects. She was actually about to go a meal for herself when she saw a young warrior drop off a bird by the entrance.
She wasn't aware of his name, but she knew for a fact she had seen him somewhere before. At a ceremony, perhaps. She walked up as he called out a greeting to nobody in particular. She was surprised a warrior had bothered to come feed the kits, but welcomed the company. "Why hello there." She said cheerfully, grinning at him before glancing at the bird. "I'm assuming this is for me, and not just a cruel tease to remind us kittens that we can't hunt these things yet." She said with a half smile, sniffing at it. The bird wasn't necessarily plump, but also wasn't skinny. It clearly had not managed to feast on the New Leaf worms just yet. Too bad.

Paleheart chuckled to himself as the kitten spoke, "You think I killed something just to show off?" He asked, rolling his eyes and flicking his stump tail. He didn't look at the bird, but nudged it closer with his paw. "And eat it while you can, preys not the best these days, even though its New leaf." The tom added.

Nobody had to tell her to eat free food twice. She immediately lunged for the bird, and took a big bite out of it. She was...not the best eater. In her mind it was eat or be eaten. Which also meant eating quickly. She liked to think owls and snakes fed this way. She chewed on the meat just enough that she could swallow, and then did, almost choking herself with the food before looking up at the warrior.
"So, do you have a name or can I call you Birdfeed?" She asked, right before taking another bit of the bird and repeating her earlier eating habit.

Paleheart tensed up and he faced away from the kit, but he immediately turned around when he heard choking. He sighed with relief that the kit was fine, and he turned his gaze away yet again and answered happily, "My name is Paleheart, your mother give you a name yet?"

Mosskit grinned when Paleheart turned away. Ah, yes, another day, another warrior grossed out. Life goals. For the tom's sake she began eating like a normal member of society, which was dull, but she preferred seeming normal than like some weird dying snake...sometimes. "Paleheart. That sounds like the name of a ghost. OH, are you a ghost? That'd be fun. I could show you to my brother, Littlekit. He's terrified of ghosts and things like that." She said excitedly, almost making herself chuckle.
Oh, right, her own name. He had asked for it. Duh. "Oh, and yes, my mother has named me. I'm Mosskit. You can call me...Well, Mosskit. Not Mossy, though. I think there's already a cat in the Clan with that name." She said, trying to remember that warrior's name. Mossyface? No. That'd be a good name, though.
