Sandstone lay in a small patch of shade in the clearing. She couldn't sleep in the den, she was to warm so she decided to come outside. To be closer to Cloudclan. The starry ancestors hadn't made any punishment to the good clan. From what she's knew to any of the clans. She smiled looking at the star's of past warriors.
Suddenly another cat's scent hit hers. "Who's there?" She called not looking behind her to see who the mysterious cat was.

Hailpaw was settled down a few tail-lengths behind Sandstone. She was half-asleep, head drooping down. She wanted to sleep in the apprentices' den, but didn't want to risk tripping over someone. 'I have to remember to go to bed early next time. That way I don't have to weave through bodies.'
Just as the she-cat was beginning to drift off, a sudden voice snapped her back to being alert. Hailpaw yawned. Would she ever get some sleep? Taking a sniff of the cat, she quickly realized who it was. "Just me, Sandstone."

Sandstone turned her pale ginger head to see a friend. "Oh, sorry Hailpaw. I didn't recognize your scent for a second." She meowed apoligiticly. She maneuvered herself so now she was facing the she-cat. "What are you doing not in the apprentice den?" She asked curiously. Her restless and jumpiness made her heart seem like a bomb tiking. "That's alright. We haven't talked in a while." She got to her paws and sat up, just in case Sandstone was looking at her. It'd be rude to look like a lazy sack of fur in front of a warrior. Even if it was night time. "The den is kind of packed right now. I don't want to step on anyone." She answered, flicking an ear. 'I'll have to start going to bed earlier.' "What about you? Why are you awake?"
