28/3/16 Blue Usually kittens were not ones to have nightmares or experience horrendous dreams. The young cats were innocent, hadn't seen much of anything, let alone something violent or terrifying, from the safety of their mother's nest. This description was much like myself, a slightly shy, but kitten-like... well, kitten. Who would have though something as drastic as night terrors could effect someone so little and happy? Certainly not myself, which would be a great reason as to why when I dreamt of terribly sharp claws of some sort of winged flying creature with thick brown feathers and a hooked mouth that outstretched from its face in a black tipped yellow curve, that I was extremely surprised— no, downright horrified of the thought of such an evil beast snatching me up for its early lunch. When I'd awoken from said nightmare, my body had been frozen in terror, legs unable to move as my limbs were seized in icy fear. It hadn't taken me long to get up in a panic though. My fur was spiked out, thin tail becoming bushy as I crawled away from the nest in a shivering hurry to hide beneath the overhang of a rock that jutted out from the wall. Surely soaring monster like what had been plaguing my dream wouldn't be able to find me here. I shuddered nervously as I pressed my side to the wall, feeling scared and vulnerable as I wished for morning to come sooner.

Snowkit barely moved from her mother's side, blinking around. Another kit was against the wall, underneath the rock. They seemed freaked out about something, fur spiked in a panic. Snowkit shook her fur out slightly, and tapped around her mother, mewing something that she hoped was actually the word "Hi." It might've come out as "Shy." The fluffy she-kit pressed her ears against her head, padding a bit closer to Bluekit. She didn't know what he was so freaked out about, and she didn't know why she kept waking up when the skies were still black.

The apprentice peers through the nursery entrance and pushes the overhang of ferns with her broad shoulder to enter. She dropped a few tiny mice and a fat chaffinch in the den. "I figured some of you might be hungry already." Her gentle voice mewed from across the den. She looks to the kitten in the corner and she becomes awfully concerned, beginning to pad over to her. "Are you alright?" the large shecat asked, her enormous, long fluffy tail wrapping around the kit, basically swallowing her up in a warm, fluffy haze of fur as a colossal apprentice stared down at her with concerned orbs.
