Wolfpaw gazed around at the cats surrounding the farmhouse. He hadn't seen Lakepaw, Riverpaw, or Silentpaw since the avalanche happened. 'I sure hope they're okay.' He remembered Silentpaw's hurt leg, and a wave of worry swept over him. Had she visited the medicine cats yet? 'I hope so. I don't want that leg to get worse.'
Lost in his worries, he hardly noticed a bee flying near his face. His eyes widened, the insect getting his attention as it landed on his nose. Wolfpaw went cross-eyed, a grin appearing on his muzzle. 'This is amazing!' He wasn't afraid of bees. He thought they were interesting. 'I wonder if they annoy themselves, making that buzzing noise all day.'
Eyes uncrossing, he looked ahead to see if anyone noticed the bee on his nose. Spotting a vaguely familiar face, he carefully padded over. Where had he seen this cat? He smiled as he got closer to the tom. 'This cat's my brother, isn't he? I feel like I've seen him by mother's nest before...' Wolfpaw kept his voice at a whisper as he began to speak. He didn't want to scare the bee away. "Psst... Look at this."

Rookpaw lay cuddled in a patch of dry grass for warmth, enjoying not having to move. This aching is a pain, he thought with a sigh. The tom was usually very active, and preferring pacing around to lying in place. My perfect figure will get ruined if I'm not able to move around soon! this thought was less serious, and worded more to ease his overwhelming boredom with a bit sarcastic drama rather than because he actually cared about his figure. Well, actually he did, but not that much.
The sound of shuffling made the apprentice look to the side, spotting another tom padding towards him. Rookpaw gave him a welcoming nod and eased himself into an upright position while looking him over, finding him fairly familiar. He's one of my brother's, isn't he..? the sleek-furred apprentice thought, keeping himself from tipping his head to the side in curiosity. He didn't want to seem like he was staring. Instead, he focused on the other apprentice's question.
It took the young tom a moment to spot the bee, but when he did his eyes widened and he leaned forward to get a closer look. He made sure to hold his breath and not move too quickly, so that he didn't scare the critter off. He exhaled softly as he leaned back, a grin spreading across his face. "Awesome," Rookpaw mewed, matching his brother's volume, "did it get stuck on, or is there 'cause it wants to be?" he tipped his head to the side, flicking his dark blue gaze between the other tom's eyes and the bee on his nose, wondering if Wolfpaw wanted help getting it off if it was indeed stuck on. Not that Rookpaw would be opposed to having a bee on his nose, it seemed much more entertaining than lying on his back and counting daisy petals.
