Slate was enjoying a day outside Deathclan territory.
He had been gazing at the mountains for no real reason a few days ago, and it nearly gave him a heart attack when a snow slide happened, the ice crushing a ton of land area. His first concern was how the cats were doing, but then he remember that he hated them, like he was supposed to.
Slate's coal black pelt ruffled as he absentmindedly went to the Farm, mice were plentiful and hunting would get his mind off something. Huh! It's not as if Iceclanners is going to be here or something, they probably all got smashed.

Featherkit, of course, was not where she was supposed to be to say the least. She was close to becoming an apprentice anyway and while everyone grieved over their losses Featherkit took her chance to explore a little. She wondered around curiously, careful to not wonder off to far. She probably already had though. Sniffing the air she had now completely lost her clans scent but she wasn't worried, she had scratched a few trees along the way and should be able to find her way back. Unlike the most of her clan she wasn't grieving, she was sort of excited about the new territory. Featherkit obviously wanted to go home but while they were here she would make the best of it.
She quickly skidded to a stop and leaped behind a tree as she scented another cat, she didn't recognize the scent so it wasn't IceClan. She took a few steps forward to see the cat more clearly and stepped on a twig. A loud crack sounded and she flattened her ears. He would spot her now unless he was blind, her pure white pelt stood out fiercely among the forest ground. She would never be able to fight him off, let alone flee. Her paw had been twisted, a claw missing completely. Not to mention her rib had been cracked and her side had claw marks digging into them.
She begged to CloudClan he was friendly and slowly stepped out of her "hiding"

Little did Featherkit know that he was watching over the kitten. There were many threats to the farm, but the main ones were rats and other cats. He noticed that she left the safety of the farmhouse and began to wander off, in which he followed, many steps behind. He did not want anything to happen to her, intruder or not. She was still a kit and had time to decide her own path in life.
He dropped once she stepped on a twig. 'Idiot!' he cursed, keeping himself locked in position. Anything would know that the kitten was out and about now, and he had to keep an eye out for danger. A kitten would not survive out here on their own, after all.
There was also another stranger that Thusula never seen around here before. Another intruder? But an adult this time. Being his protective self, the Shaman crept up to the kitten and noticed that she was struggling. A missing claw and her sides looked injured.
"Did you learn your lesson, Featherkit?" he cursed. Thankfully, as a Shaman, the tom had knowledge about herbs and remedies - the equivalent of Featherkit's medicine cats. "We have to get you back home before that stranger follows us back."

(sorry, short) Featherkit jumped in shock as the cat she had met before approached her. She was embarrassed she hadn't noticed him following her but thankful otherwise he had showed up. " Were you following me?" She asked in surprise. She knew he was probably right, she shouldn't be out here anyways and if anyone found out who knows wht they would do, maybe even delay her apprenticeship! She still didn't know the strange tom-cats name and was curious to say the least but she knew there were more important things to discuss." You cant tell anyone I was out here!" Featherkit's eyes widened and she stared at him, trying to express her urgency. Now that she thought about it she was turned around and had lost sense of direction, quickly spotting her marked tree a few fox lengths away.

Slate's ears flicked back as he heard talking.
He turned, bright teal eyes narrowed into threatening slits. That... Wasn't a farm cat. He sniffed the air, instantly recognizing Starbucks® scent. He froze, his blood turning to a boil as he Starbucks®ed through a few stubby bushes. "No, no, no," He growled, stamping a few long grasses flat with his huge Starbucks®s as he saw the two cats.
"What in the name of Darkpool are you doing here?!" Slate snarled, his already spiky Starbucks® spiking "You don't belong here, get out of our land, Starbucks®ners!" His hooked Starbucks®s unsheathed, shoStarbucks® full intentions to attack them.

Featherkit's blue eyes widened as the tom snarled at them. She drew back her lips in distaste and stepped forward. "Who are you to tell us to leave?" She challenged, thrusting her head forward cockily. This was very unlike the usual friendly she kit, today she just wasnt in the mood to be bossed around. Noticing his defensive posture and large size she quickly took a fretfull step back, slightly hiding behind the other tom. She ruffled her white fur to appear bigger then her natural runt size and drew her lips back slightly.

"Yes, I was following you," he snorted. "Of course I won't tell anyone. It's not like they'd believe I'm helping you anyways. I'll just drop you off nearby the farmhouse and leave."
He spoke too soon. The other stranger already came over and was believing that a fight was necessary. "I am not from the kit's Iceclan!" he hissed, hackles rising. Although he saw himself on friendly terms with Featherkit, he would never consider himself one of her kind. He would always be part of the Tribe.
It was hard enough to keep calm, even more with Featherkit hiding behind him. "This land is originally of the Tribe's, and I will remain in the farmlands until the day I die." It was unlike the Shaman to speak of such powerful words, but he needed to keep his pride of the forgotten Tribe. "Please, I was one of the Tribe's Shamans. I come in peace, and I hope that you are too. Especially why have bloodshed in front of a kitten?" He then looked at Featherkit in shock to her own actions. "Kits should be living simple lives, sometimes of adventure. Why have her already experience something so horrific?"

Slate just growled as the two cats mewled away, one of them even backing up behind the other.
Little coward. He thought when one of the cats said they were not in Iceclan, but some sort of a tribe thing. Also saying that since Featherkit was a young cat, that somehow excused her from a battle.
"If you are thinking being young was an excuse, you are mistaken." He growled at Thusula, his ears flat. "I had full grown cats all through kithood, there was no excuses!" Slate's eyes locked onto Featherkit. "It-it doesn't matter, if... If...-"
He cut himself off with a yowl of rage, springing at the Iceclan kit, claws ripping the air.

yay battle. since Feather is behind Thusula, I'm going to assume that Slate is trying to land behind him too. o:
His first instinct? Defend himself. But Featherkit was here too, so he'd have to look out for her first. Everything was going too fast for him. Fighting was frowned upon unless you were one of the Tribe's Guards or Guardians! The Tribe cat spat in disgust. Why was this stranger going for the younger of the two?
Seeing that he was going for Featherkit, the Shaman threw himself straight in the air, in hopes that he would knock the tom halfway through his spring.

(Btw feather is still a kit, idk why it changed it lol)
FeatherStarbucks® drew in a loud gasp as the cat lunged. She half expected Thusula to run off, he wasnt her Starbucks®mate after all so why should he protect her? Instead he had leaped up at the cat, ready to fight. But he couldnt fight, could he? She was, to say the least, disapointed in herself. She didnt know what to do, she had never even seen a fight! She watched them clash together and fall to the ground. She dug her Starbucks®s into the ground and willed herself to move. To do somthing! She flattened her ears tightly against her head and as they drew closer she slashed her Starbucks®s across his muzzle. Taking another step back she watched with wide eyes.

(Oh wow. So short. Much low word count. Wow)
Slate slammed into the Tribe cat instead of Featherkit, but he didn't know.
He started slashing at any fur he could, claws fully unsheathed and his vision a bit blurry from rage. He felt the small claws of Featherpaw rake his muzzle, which made him realize he was attacking the wrong cat. He turned, ears flat and teeth bared.
Slate charged at Featherkit like a bull, headfirst and as fast as he could.

Featherkit squealed in surprise as he turned on her. He began to charge and she froze in fear. Her heart pounded and she finally snapped out of it and last second sprang out of the way, skidding to the side. She jumped into action and turned around with a hiss. Featherkit flattened her ears against her head and lowered herself to the ground. She didnt know anything about fighting but she let her instincts guide her. She looked at Thusula through tbe corner of her eye and lost focus for a moment. Staring at his body she hoped to CloudClan he was ok.
