Hailpaw exited the apprentices' den with a stretch. It was around noon, and the sun was shining high in the sky. Even though she couldn't see it, she had to purr. It'd been awhile since she felt this warm. 'I wonder if Webpaw is enjoying this.' She hadn't heard from her brother in a moon or two, and she was getting a little worried. Was he ignoring her? It wouldn't be too hard, considering she couldn't see if he was around. Sighing, the she-cat gathered herself up and made her way over to the nursery. Kittens always brightened things up.
Hailpaw sniffed around for kits once she got closer to the den. It was so nice out, there had to be at least a few outside.

Ravenkit was always a serious little thing. He wasn't as playful as other kits, nor was he as loud. He was quiet, constantly drifting off in dreams and stories. Sometimes, he couldn't tell between what was reality and dream, and he'd get stuck. Oh, Ravenkit would be so confused. He'd be talking to this random cat, and there would be a warrior asking him if he was okay. God, he was so confused!
Yet, he was also afraid. What was going on with him?

Hailpaw padded closer to the entrance. She didn't scent as many kits as she thought she would. Right when she was just beginning to enter the nursery, she bumped into something small and soft. The blind apprentice stumbled back. 'Dang it! I thought I could make it in without hitting anything this time.' She dipped her head apologetically. "Sorry about that."

Ravenkit watched the area around him warily, but came out of his little funk as he was nearly bowled over by a patch of cream fur in his face. Spluttering fearfully, Ravenkit bolted off to the side. His silvery eyes were wide with fear, the fear-scent exuding from the small cat.
" S- s- sorry! " Ravenkit squeaked, not hearing the apology the apprentice was making to him. " I - I didn't mean to! "

Hailpaw lifted her head, a soft 'oh' sound escaping her as the kit stuttered. "It's okay. It was my fault, no worries." She bent down, trying to sniff the kit for injuries. She didn't expect there to be any, but she wanted to be sure. "Are you hurt?" 'Goodness, I hope I'm not scaring him.'
