Fallensnow slumped into her nest, close to the colder walls of the warrior's den and wrapped her tail around her, feeling inexplicably lonely.
Maybe it wasn't so inexplicable. Fangshadow had been a good mentor, but he wasn't exactly a friend. She'd barely seen him since her assessment anyway, and he intimidated her a bit so that was probably not the best bet for striking up conversation. She could hardly remember the last time she'd seen Cheetahfur. Her eyes felt hot. When was the last time she'd had a friend, anyway?
But why did she want to talk to anyone? She was the introvert of introverts, prickly, competitive, bad at talking to cats. She didn't generally enjoy making small talk but could think of nothing more she'd want at the moment.
Well, then, do something about it she nagged herself, then sighed, shifting to a more comfortable position. Even as she thought the words, another cat brushed into the den and she stiffened, eyes already narrowed in suspicion. Trying not to look rude, she shifted her gaze away, cleared her throat pitifully, then mumbled, "Hi."

He having returned from a long day of sun up to sun down work, was about to snap at the female saying a simple greetings when her scent hit him. He turned to face her with a sudden smile. She looked like she was in much discouragement, tilted his head he gave a small "Hello" hoping she would look up to meet his gaze. from what he had gathered she had both not recodnised him self, and gotten a warriors name. He sat down not waiting for an invite and asked "Fallensnow, what's troubling you" though she was a warrior a mentor never lets go (haha) and well something seemed to be jabbing at her. (also when was this ceremony for her name!?)

(it was like march 21 or something i forgot to post in the thread)
"Oh, hi Fangshadow," she murmured, not sure whether to be relieved or disappointed. It was good to see her old mentor, though. "I'm not--"
She paused. "Just feeling a little lonely," she mewed as lightly as she could manage, trying not to invoke a pity-party. "Long day, and the flood and everything going on--" Her stomach growled, right on cue. "I think everyone's feeling a little out of it."

He gave a small smile, she didn't seem all that pleased it was him who decided to stop and talk but couldn't change that know right. He sighed "yes of course," he paused a little as the small thunder of a tummy made it's point. He tilted his head "Yea," he stood "Would you like to hunt?" he offered she seemed a little cooped up in here.

She brightened a little. That was exactly what she needed. Why didn't she think of these things herself? Wasn't it supposed to be your own job to decide to be happy? "Actually, yeah, I would love that." She glanced out the warrior's den at the meager fresh-kill pile. "And SkyClan knows the Clan could use a little extra food what with all going on in the IceClan border."

He gave a light grin, "I thought you would" even if they hadn't been the closest as mentor and apprentice he had gained quite a few details about the feline one of witch is she seemed to love both run and hunt, but she also needed a constant friend. "Yes of course," he nodded it was true this issue with IceClan was being rather effective on Fireclan. He paddes out of the den knowing she would follow, "You care to take the lead?" he offered.
Sorry for the late Post)

(np!)
"Sure," she said quietly, pawing at the still stiff ground. Thankfully everything was getting warmer, but the flood had dampened (no pun intended) everyone's spirits regarding the better weather.
She lifted her nose and breathed in the air; it was a little chilly today and the coolness hurt her lungs as she tried to really fill her belly. Padding farther away from camp as her old mentor followed, more prey-scent seemed to be in the air, and walking a little away from Fangshadow to do her own hunting, she zeroed in on the smell of a nearby rabbit.

Even if not intended Love the Pun haha) Nodding he allowed her to take the lead of there little hunting party. Pausing to watch her he relised habits were stiff and hard to brake he felt like a mentor once more. She's a warrior now, like the others... He had always had a small sadness as they moved on to the rank of a warrior he almost felt forgotten seeing he had no family he didn't have too many cats to call friends, he had Silver of course but she was always talking about her time to leave and cloud clan it was unsettling and starting to tear at there relationship, His kids were never around as well... What a Case. Putting the issue of his mind aside he turned as she did. He let her take the hunt of the rabbit and turned the other way in hopes of a mouse.

(lol)
She glanced back at Fangshadow. He seemed a little troubled, but she was never one for feelings-talk, and awkwardly re-focused on her rabbit.
It was closer than she'd initially surmised, only a few tail-lengths away, and she dropped into a hunting crouch a little startled. But at that moment, the wind changed direction. The rabbit sat up, ears pricked, and she lunged for it, still just slightly too far to make it in one catch.
The rabbit sprinted, and she sprinted after it, long legs aiding in the first hunt-chase she'd had in a while. Breathing hard, but happy, with one final powerful leap she snagged the rabbit and nipped its neck. The ground had softened, so she could finally dig a decent hole to bury it for later.

He turned away from his hunt only slightly as the wind changed he new hunting a rabbit would prove difficult when that happened. He was able to spot her silver frame pelting after the meal, he almost gave a small. She looked like a true fireclaner pelting after prey that held no chance, she made the quick blow like he had taught her and even burried it. He turned back to his own hunt pride, and sadness filled his emotions. He once finishing his catch returned with a mouse. He plopped it down on the earth before speaking. "Have you gotton faster?" He sighed, "Dang if only I wasn't a big fat tabby" he chuckled.

(yikes sorry iḿ late)
She turned, appraising his catch, and twitched her head humbly to and fro. "Of any warrior skills, I practice that the most. My mom was a good runner," she mewed. Startled, she nearly snorted, but ended up only in silence. After a moment with a stupid frozen smile, she mewed, "You're more muscle than fat anyway--and you're certainly fast enough."

He chuckled "Cheetahfur, man she was fast" he thought back a bit. He broke out in a fit of deep mannored laughter when she said he wans't fat. He sighed "I take it back you might be fast, but I think you might be going blind" he shook his head with a chuckle. Taking a side step he added "Any apprentices of your own yet?" she had been one of his favoite apprentices it was kind of hard if not sad to see things changing so fast.

(ugh sorry i'm super late)
"Rude," she said, semi-dramatically. She would have nudged him were she not uncomfortable with touching anyone, but she did mew, "You're not quite a senior warrior yet. Still have to stay in shape like the rest of us."
She shook her head, a little anxious. The fur on the back of her neck rose without her noticing. "I don't want to ask for one quite yet. I don't feel like I have anything to teach someone."

He chuckled, noticing she hadn't playfuly swatted at him or anything for that matter. He let it go, and shook his head in mock. "My days are comings, I tell you i've been trying to hold on to this form but it's all flabby now" he gave a good hearted laugh. Feeling at ease he looked at her with a bit of concern usully they couldn't wait to get one of their own... "You kidding, You would make an excellent mentor." he purred. "Besides it's felines like you who are gonna have to train all the apprentices when I'm gone" he gave an amused look to the feline hoping she wasn't as crushed as she looked right now. He gave her a playful nudge, hoping to get a silly reaction of the apprentice he once new

(just a warning, responses will be real spotty pretty much until after june 1 because of graduation and a school trip n all that jazz)
She looked down at her own skinny figure. "The only reason I'm not as fat as you is because I forget to eat," she mewed, truthfully enough.
"Really?" she asked, a little surprised. "Thanks." She locked her joints and shifted in the breeze, thinking about it. She purred a little, looking back up at him, taken a bit aback by the nudge. She stumbled to the side--though he may be 'flabby', he was still considerably stronger than her, and grinned again, after a moment of processing. "Rude," she joked.
