FlintpawSilentpaw was getting used to this whole 'apprenticeship' thing. Training was amusing for the she-cat and a quiet den. Silentpaw padded over to the pile of boulders and leapt up with ease. She sighed and lied down on the rocks to rest in the sunlight. Well, no nap for her. Silentpaw's brown eyes caught to sight of Flintpaw, the other apprentice to Ripplefur. She groaned and tried to ignore the tom.

Flintpaw bounded up to where Silentpaw was laying with moss in his mouth. He stared up at her and dropped the moss near his paw. "Silentpaw! What are you doing? We have to go clean out the moss in the apprentice's den!" The young cat thought about his father, now his mentor, scolding him for not doing his duties.

Silentpaw muttered under her breath, apprentice duties, the only downside to this life. She pinned her ears back and leapt hesitantly back to the ground. She didn't say anything as she picked up the moss and padded to the den.

Flintpaw joined her in the den. He went to the first unoccupied nest he found and began to search it. He would pluck out some fur or bat some dirt, then replace it with some new moss. "So, have you trained with Ripplefur yet?"

(Sorry this is slightly late, was sick)
Silentpaw had started to move around the fur and dirt, replacing it with the moss she was given. She looked up at Flintpaw and shook her head in acknowledgement. She hadn't started training, and she was sure Flintpaw hadn't either because of this.

Not questioning her not speaking, Flintpaw just continued his task. "Oh well, I like doing this kind of stuff too. Even if it's annoying, it's better than being trapped in that nursery." He snorted, laughing at pretty much nothing. "Maybe...we could train together and then impress him with what we know!" The young apprentice bounced on his paws at the suggestion.

Silentpaw listened to Flintpaw as she continued her job, pricking her ears up at the comment about the nursery. Finally, a cat said it. As she heard the suggestion, she turned her head and finally spoke. "Guess that's a good idea. Better than sitting 'round doing nothing."

Flintpaw dropped into a playful stance. "Alright!" The young apprentice wagged his tail in excitement. "You make the first move!" He was just interested in what Silentpaw knew. His moves comprised of silly kitten games and pouncing.

Silentpaw stared dully at Flintpaw when he told her to fight. She shrugged to herself and got into a decent fighting stance. Her tail flicked and she nodded to the other apprentice, she tried to tackle him. It was her most generic fighting tactic, but useful in situations.

(I swear I remember posting on this. My internet is horrible sometimes. ;_;)
Flintpaw tried to dodge her attack, but she ended up getting him anyway. The apprentice fell flat on his belly and tried to squirm out of her tackle. They were about the same weight, so it wasn't really working. Instead he used one free leg to try to quick her off.

(Its OK, internet is a butt at times.)
Silentpaw felt a prick of pride in herself when she managed to knock Flintpaw over. One of the only times the she-cat felt self esteem. She didn't flinch as her opponent struggled, but she was caught off guard by being tripped. She fell onto the ground with a quick thud, but she just lied there, too in shock.
Apparently Silentpaw was scared easily.
