Hailpaw stumbled when she was smacked by Windswirl's paw. She turned in the direction it came from and leaped, hoping to land on the warrior. She then would try to pin her to the ground, putting all of her weight into her paws.

Windswirl ended up in the ground, a pin which succeeded which such a high impact. She used the opportunity to get up, balancing Hailpaw well she was at it to attempt to crush her by -- or at least wanting Palefire to get out of the way as Windswirl went to drop on her back.

Hailpaw jumped off of Windswirl when she felt her falling back. She hopped off to the side, immediately sniffing the air and listening to get a good sense of where the warrior was. She lowered herself down into a crouch, ready to react to whatever Windswirl did next.

"I think that's enough." Windswirl announced. Shaking her fur and ready to head back. Though she wondered if Palefire would use the opportunity to attack. Taking the opponent by surprise would be an important maneuver. |

Hailpaw relaxed and stood up straight. "Wait, really?" There was nervousness in her voice. Did she fail? 'I could have done better in the hunting. I bet I messed up." She drew in a breath. It was over, and she couldn't worry about it now. "Ready when you are." Taking the opponent by surprise hadn't even crossed her mind.

Having a serious expression on her face, she dashed past Palefire's side and aimed for the scruff of her neck, gently of course if it happened. It's now or never. If she didn't know/learn now, Hail or anyone would be terribly injured in an actual battle leaving their guard down.

Hailpaw squeaked in surprise as she felt a tug on her scruff. She quickly ducked and slid out of the way. She hopped to her paws, turning in Windswirl 's direction with her fur rising. 'Didn't expect that!'

As Hailpaw was taken by surprised, Windswirl went forward to charge her down one last time, hopefully Palefire would dodge.

Hailpaw stayed alert for any sudden movements, so she easily dodged when Windswirl tried to attack. She spun around and listened closely, trying to see if Windswirl was going to charge forward again.

"0kay," Windswirl said," Just a few things, always keep your guard up. And your claws are useful for defending, attacking other opponents, use them when necessary." She held a few moments and began heading back with a purr," Aaaand you passed."

She listened quietly as Windswirl began to speak. She nodded once the warrior finished her tips. "I'll keep that in mind." The next sentence took her by surprise. The apprentice froze in shock, but that was soon followed by a large grin. "No way, really?" She couldn't hide the excitement in her voice. "Oh, thank you so much!" She exclaimed, bounding after the warrior. 'I passed!'

She glanced at her left to see the happy apprentice coming,"Yes! Now just your ceremony to arrive." In the quarter way home, she picked up the sparrow but before that, she said,"Sorry for being so rough with you.. Though, not that sorry, it's battle after all. You were good!" She commented now with a mouthful of sparrow. Helping Hailpaw with the prey she caught.

Hailpaw trotted beside her, finding it easier to follow that way. She purred at Windswirl's words. 'My ceremony! Oh, I hope Webpaw will be there...' She missed her brother deeply. He had to return, she just knew it.
She giggled at the compliment. "Thank you! You were a really tough opponent. I didn't expect your moves at all!" She replied, whiskers twitching as the scent of sparrow wafted by her nose. 'She must be collecting my catches!' Hailpaw had almost forgotten about them. "You don't need to carry that, Windswirl. I got it." 'She's too nice!'

"You have to expect the unexpected." Windswirl said when they reached the other two prey where she could speak clearly then with a mouthful of prey. "You can carry the others. When your ceremony comes, I'll be there cheering you on!" Windswirl praised Palefire,"You deserve it!" Now home was the final destination of today, unless well Hailpaw wanted to mark borders or something..
