Wren scowled slightly as she pawed at the stupid marker around her neck. For some reasons, Two-legs liked to put these 'collars' around their pets so they don't get lost. And it was pink! Scowling disgustedly, Wren lifted one white paw and licked it. Just as she did, a two-leg passed in front of her and tried picking the tortoiseshell up. No way were they taking her! Batting at the child's head harshly, she kicked out and flailed until it put her down with a soft cry of pain.
Hah! Bloody two-legs couldn't handle a little pain, hmm? Snickering slightly, Wren curled up in the center of a pile of burlap sacks and just watched the world pass by.

Mangle limped through the Downtown streets, keeping in the shadows to hide herself. She had a small mouse in her jaws, the first meal she caught in a while. Her ragged, stark white fur clung to her skinny frame, not from starvation, but she was just normally like that.
Her attention was turned as a Twoleg kitten tried to pick up another cat, that seemed to be a kittypet by her collar. She was suprised as the kittypet fought back, clawing the Twoleg. The Twoleg fled, leaving the tortoiseshell alone.
"That was brave." Mangle meowed from the shadows, not wanting the tortoiseshell to see her. "Aren't you a kittypet? You have a collar."

Wren glanced at the other she-cat blankly, before once again clawing at the pink monstrosity. " Brave? " the she-cat echoed questioningly. Then she snorted. " Kittypet? I'm no kittypet. " Wren scoffed, once again trying to claw at the blasted collar around her neck. " Some two-leg decided they HAD to have me, so they stuck this monstrosity on me in attempt to stake a claim. " Letting out a slightly distressed mew as she continued to claw at her collar, Wren shook her head violently and glared down at it. " This is getting me nowhere. " she mumbled, mostly to herself.

Mangle's interest perked when the cat confirmed that she was not, in fact, a kittypet. But instead a cat that twolegs forced a collar onto her, and she sounded quite unhappy about it.
I guess I'm lucky, no twoleg would ever want to see me, let alone keep me on a leash.
"You sound unhappy about it." Mangle kept her mew soft "Can't you just take it off if you don't like it?"
