It was a pretty cloudy day. Boring and cold. Utterly despicable weather. 'Hmph! There's nothing fun to do!' I thought angrily, pacing back and forth behind my mother's nest. Geckostep was fast asleep, obviously not having any care in the world of what her kits were doing. 'Everyone says she's a weirdo! I bet they expect ME to be weird, too!'
My river-blue eyes searched the surrounding area, and then I noticed a familiar pelt. Lilykit was doing her own thing. Something that I really didn't care for, but I was bored to the point that interests didn't matter, I just had to do something to settle this twitching excitement in my chest from exploding. Was this how Geckostep was? With some weird desire to jump around, and just... do anything despite social view?
Heh, good thing I actually cared what others thought about me. "Lilykit!" I called, scurrying over to my sister. "What are you doing?"

Lilykit had been playing with a mossball. She rolled it gently with her paws. Lilykit'ds eyes fixed on Slatekit her sister. "Oh just playing with this mossball. You can play too if you want" she meowed looking at Slatekit. "Or maybe you would like to play warriors together?" LIlykit asked again waiting for a response. I hope she wants to play. It's been so long that I've played. Lilykit never really played with her sister that much.

I blinked oddly at the mossball between her paws. As if I wanted to play with that dirty old thing. "Hmph. Warriors is fine." I said smartly, giving a light roll of my eyes. Though I didn't want to show it, I was happy for the chance to play with my sister. Lilykit and I weren't... close. Not yet, at least, we were pretty young to be exactly best friends.
Stepping a few paces away, I gave my tail a sharp lash in thought. "I'll be Slatefang." I mused with a bored voice. It was a cool name, though. And honestly fit me and my prickly attitude. I whipped my head towards Lilykit with a curious expression, "What about you?"

Lilykit thought for a second. What should my name be. Hmm Lilyfrost sounds good. "I'll be Lilyfrost" she meowed. "Oh no there are dogs coming towards camp." She meowed. "It looks like they are heading towards the nursery." LIlykit pretended to launch herself onto an imaginary dog.

Lilyfrost. It honestly wasn't a bad name. 'Nice pick, sis.' I thought, though did not voice my praise. Instead I simply listened to her other words, my eyes slightly narrowing at the mention of a dog attack, and then to the nursery. I peered around the den, almost expecting to see towering monsters with slobbering jaws to appear. But none did. It was only a game, after all. I turned back to Lilykit, finding my sister having launched herself away in an attempt to attack one of the imaginary creatures. 'Okay, here goes... never played this game before, but I guess I'll just copy Lilykit....' "Haah!" I cried, rearing up and swiping at the air, trying to imagine a dangerous beast there.
But nothing was there. This was stupid -- I wasn't like our mother, who didn't even have to try making up illusions. Nothing was here, and it made me seem like an idiot pretending there was. Swiping at breezes, baring my fangs at the sky, and trying to act like the camp was actually being attacked? In a real battle, us two kits would be crow-food. There was no dancing around that truth.
I glanced at Lilykit, though, feeling my expression lose it's annoyance instantly. 'I don't want to disappoint her, though... she'll be having fun.' I mused, dropping back down onto four paws. 'I may not see anything, but I'm not going to ruin her happiness.' So instead, I let a wicked smile take over my lips and whirled around, dashing at Lilykit. "Lilyfrost, look out!" I howled, leaping behind her back and slashing at the air, as if I had just defended her from the jaws of death. 'Does she believe I did, when I only hit air?' I glanced back quickly, keeping my whole expression from showing my real thoughts on this game. She would only see me as having fun, what with my rare smile. "You okay?"
