The sun was shining onto the tabby patched kittens fur. Wingedkit had been recently adopted by Rowansky one of the queens of IceClan. The plains was not really her favourite place. Wingedkit hated open spaces. She would rather be in the mountains where she could climb things and learn how to swim. Wingedkit ears pricked up from a sound near by. "Hello. Whose there" the kitten murmured tail twitching

Turtlekit was new to life, being born on the rusty farm. The tiny she-kit had accidentally wandered away from Dappledleaf and was following another kit. When the kit had asked her who she was, Turtlekit tensed up. "T-Turtlekit, a-at least I th-think that's my name...." She murmered, gazing at the floor in slight embarrassment.

Wingedkit offered the other kitten a smile. She did not want to spook Turtlekit. "NIce to meet you Turtlekit" she replied. "I'm Wingedkit" the white kitten with tabby patches meowed again. Wingedkit looked at her with icy blue eyes. "Is everything ok?" She asked. The other kitten seemed to be shy or embarrassed. Did I do some wrong? Wingedkit asked herself

Turtlekit relaxed once she saw the smile, still red in the face. She nodded and hung her head. Wingedkit, huh, weird name. When she was asked if she was alright, Turtlekit shot up. "Y-Yeah! Just f-fine!"

Wingedkit looked at the younger kitten hoping that nothing was bothering her. "So would you like to do something, like play a game or explore a bit?" The tabby patched kitten asked her icy blue eyes fixing on Turtlekit. "Anyways what do you like to do?" The white she-kit with brown tabby patches questioned before waiting a a response

Turtlekit fluffed out her pelt as she was questioned. Not knowing what to do, she just picked something random. "I-I kinda want to e-e-explore..." The she-kit stuttered, shifting her paws around uncomfortably. She then stood close to the kit, as if already to go.

Wingedkit smiled before leading the way. But then she remembered that kits have to stay closer to the barn. She looked arcross the plains. "It's all just grass" she murmured sadly. Clearly it was not as intresting as IceClan's old territory. The white kitten with brown tabby patches sighed. Wingedkit looked at Turtlekit. "I bet IceClan's old territory is much better than this boring land"

Turtlekit glanced up at Wingedkit, returning her gaze to the plains. She looked at her paws, and stumbled inside. "T-Then try climbing across the p-planks?" She asked, looking up at the boards that lie below the roof. The small black and ginger was quiet, but adventurous.

Wingedkit looked at Turtlekit. "Ok" the white kitten with brown tabby patches made her way up to the planks being careful not to fall off. Wingedkit waited for Turtlekit to come up. The young kitten did like high places. Her icy blue eyes scanned her surroundings as she waited for the other kitten

Turtlekit didn't say a word as she leapt up onto the boards with Wingedkit. She smiled shyly and looked down, puffing out her chest. The kit glanced at the other and ran across the board, leaping onto another.

Wingedkit leaped from board to board quickly. The white kitten with brown tabby patches smiled as she jumped. Wingedkit leaped across another board almost slipping off the board. The tabby patched kitten said nothing but kept on leaping from board to board

Turtlekit leapt after Wingedkit, she was like she had wings. Maybe that's why she was named Wingedkit. The black and ginger she-kit tensed when her companion almost fell, but relaxed as she kept leaping. Turtlekit nodded to herself and followed.

Wingedkit stopped leaping planks and sat down to rest. Her icy blue eyes fixed on Turtlekit. "Want to go get something to eat. I'm starving" she asked the other kitten waiting for a response

Turtlekit kept running after Wingedkit, but when she stopped, the black and ginger kit tumbled over the others tail and landed on her face. She sprang up quickly and faced Wingedkit, "I... S-sure..." She replied sheepishly.
