His ears perked up. "You really think so?" He looked down at his paws. What made her think that? 'She had called me dumb not too long ago. Maybe she just changed her mind that quickly.'
He sighed happily, reassured by Natalia's words. Maybe life here wouldn't be so bad. Maybe he'd finally fit in.

Natalia nodded.
"Yeah... Though you were a bit... Clumsy or something in the beginning. But I think you're smarter than you look." She answered honestly. Honesty was something she could do fine. She'd heard something about honesty being the best policy. She really hoped that was true.
"You'll be able to figure it out. Living here, I mean." Then she awkwardly shuffled her paws. "I'm not really anything special, but if you want help... I could try. Not sure I'm the best cat for advice, but hey. I'm better than nothing...." She paused. "I think."

Jude felt a purr rising in his throat at the compliment. "Thank you." He said, giving her a small dip of the head. He'd never been called smart before. Clumsy, on the other hand... Well, that was nothing new. 'I need to watch my paws once and a while. Sooner or later I'll look like a fool.'
He continued to listen, smile growing in the slightest. "I would really appreciate some help. Maybe we could practice battle moves sometime. I'm not too great at fighting." He admitted, turning around and facing the trees. His stomach rumbled. 'I should go find something to eat.' He took one last glance at the older cat. "Thank you again, Natalia. See you soon."

Natalia awkwardly nodded in response to Jude.
Jude began to smile and it grew wider as she had spoken her previous statements. Apparently... She was doing alright. Maybe... Maybe she could turn this around. Maybe she wasn't that bad at talking to cats without driving them away.
Jude seemed to be content with the idea that the two cats would see each other again one day. "Eh... Yeah... That sounds... Kinda nice..." She meowed awkwardly. Then Jude was beginning to get ready to leave. She dipped her head in response slightly.
"See you around... Jude." Then she left the riverside and eventually disappeared from sight.
