Wolfpaw stretched out in the sun, calmly watching the clan around him. It felt like they'd been living in the farmhouse forever. 'I wonder if anyone was left behind.' He shuddered at the thought. He hadn't seen Silentpaw or Lakepaw in at least a moon or two. Did one of them get lost on the way here? Wolfpaw frowned, quickly dismissing his thoughts. They had to return.
The apprentice sighed heavily, resting his head on his paws. 'I can't think too hard on that.' He flicked an ear, hearing a few pawsteps approaching. Maybe talking would cheer him up.

Icepaw felt as though the clan was now living here forever, and ever. Like the farm was Iceclan's new camp and the meadow area was their hunting grounds and territory. Though the fact of living with loners thread that idea distant it still felt like they would never go home. Those stupid loners are so annoying and mouse brained! She muttered in her head since she could sense the presence of another near by. She wasn't sure if it was a clan mate or loner. She decided she might as well check who it was.
Icepaw lowered herself and stalked in the direction of the other cat and saw a apprentice with his head on his paws. He looked sad in a way that she could not describe. Maybe he's lonely. She thought and padded out into the opening. Her clear snowy white pelt and icey blue eyes visible a mile away. Hi, I'm Icepaw if you didn't know. She meowed greeting with a dip of her head. Are you okay? You seem sad. She meowed softly, her voice like a fallen Starclan warrior.

His gaze rested on a white she-cat. 'I think I've seen her around before. Thank goodness it's a clanmate.' He thought, not having the energy to deal with a rogue. Wolfpaw lifted his head as she joined him, offering a small smile. "Hello Icepaw. I'm Wolfpaw." He replied, staggering up. He didn't want to be impolite, even if he was feeling sad. He took a seat across from her and quickly smoothed down his raggedy fur. First impressions were important.
It looked as if his negative emotions were obvious. Wolfpaw lowered his head shyly. "No no, I'm okay. Just tired, that's all." 'Yeah, tired. She'll believe that.' He looked back up at her. "What were you up to?"

She knew he was lying about being tired, she could see it in his eyes and his expression. Though she didn't bother pressing any farther on the topic, she decided she would a little after. Nice to meet you, Wolfpaw. She meowed smiling that she had someone to talk to. The farm was quite lonesome even though there was her whole clan, no body was really in a 'Hi! Come talk to me mood.'
She saw the smile form when he greeted her and she could tell he was happy to have some cat to talk to. When he asked her what she was up to she didn't know what to say. So much was happening lately. Just missing home, avoiding the loners as much as possible and trying to adjust still. She meowed softly. She looked down at her paws. I know the clan has spent some moons here, but it's all weird here. I'm not used to having the scent of loner & my clanmates surrounding me. She quickly spoke.

He nodded. It was certainly hard to get used to the diferent smells, though the hardest adjustment for him was the temperature. With the exception of today, most of the time he was resting in a patch of shade. 'I can't wait to get back to the snow.' His smile grew at the thought. It couldn't be too long. They would be back soon.
"I don't think anyone's used to it. I'm sure Robinstar's itching to get back home just as much as the rest of us." Wolfpaw said, hoping it was true. He didn't think anyone really liked it here. 'Except for maybe some of the younger kits. I hope they don't get attached to this place.' He shrugged. Talking about the situation wouldn't make anything better. The apprentice gave his fur a shake and focused on the pretty cat in front of him. "Tell me about yourself, Icepaw."

Icepaw nodded in agreement. Everyone in the clan was having a hard time living in the barn, and Robinstar did seem jumpy, most likely sick of all the hay under his paws like the rest of us. Yeah, I can't wait until my pelt will be blending in with the background when I hunt. I'm sick of being so exposed in this barn. She laughed softly her tail twitching while her pale blue eyes scanned the area quick, she was happy to see no loner was around. Though the air reeked of loners.
Suddenly Icepaw was taken aback by Wolfpaw's question. Not many cats tried to get to know her. It made her smile happily that Wolfpaw cared. She smiled at the handsome tom before replying softly unsure of what to say. Well, my name is Icepaw but I'm sometimes called Ice or Icey. I am almost done with my training, just have to do my assessment and then I'm a warrior. And my mentor is Petalfur. She meowed unsure of what else to say. She quickly asked Wolfpaw the same question. Now, tell me about yourself, Wolfpaw. She meowed her pale blue eyes shinning.

Wolfpaw chuckled. "I didn't think of that. You must be invisible in the snow!" His gaze traveled over her pelt. It did look like a patch of snow. Maybe that's why they'd never spoken before- she just blended in so well that he didn't take note of her. A delighted purr began to rise in his throat as she smiled. He liked making others happy, and it was even better when he was interested in what she had to say.
The tom listened intently. "Petalfur... I've heard of her. And Ice is a nice nickname." He paused and looked at Icepaw for a few moments, considering calling her "Ice" or "Icey" in the future. "Though I think your full name is prettier. And I bet it'll get even nicer once you get your warrior name." He tapped his tail lightly against the ground, thinking about what to say when she bounced the question back. "Well, Melodysong just finished my assessment, so there's that. Not sure if I passed. There isn't much else to say. Just your regular IceClan apprentice here."

She giggled softly in reply thinking about how Petalfur pointed it out to her on one of the first days of training. She had said her fur was a gift and weapon for her. And Icepaw did agree. Life in Iceclan's old home was easy for her. The only thing that gave her away was her icey blue eyes that were like lights.
Suddenly a blush formed when he commented about her name. Wolfpaw was a sweet tom, and he knew how to make her smile. Thank you, Wolfpaw. She thanked him for the compliment trying to hide her blushing. When he started talking about his training she smiled. He did look like he was warrior ready, so she questioned why he'd think he wouldn't pass. You passed. I can tell, you look like you are going to be amazing warrior when your ceremony happens. She meowed a hint of a soft purr growing in her throat. What do you think your name will be? She asked curiously.

His amber eyes lit up when she blushed. He chuckled again and shook his head. "No need to thank me. I was just stating the truth." He said, finding it cute that he had made her blush. Most cats would just shrug a compliment off or flat out leave. This one was different.
He looked down at himself as she continued. "Aw, thanks." Wolfpaw smiled, wondering if that was true. He'd caught a glimpse of himself in a puddle not too long ago. He thought he looked no different, and definitely far from looking like an almost-warrior. But maybe that was just him. He tipped his head to the side when she asked a question. He'd never given that much thought. "No clue. I just hope it's not something ridiculous."

She gave up on trying to hide herself from blushing because she could tell Wolfpaw could already see it. Well still thank you. She meowed. No onebut family had paid her a compliment and she knew she had to thank him. When he looked down she smiled. Wait did I get him to blush in the way toms do? She wondered in her mind, maybe maybe not, she did not know.
My siblings when we were younger said my warrior name would be Iceeye. She meowed softly. Just because of how I looked at them when we did a mock battle. She hated when they called her that. It made it feel like she was partially evil and she wasn't. For you I'd say Wolfheart maybe. She suggested hoping that was not redicules. I don't know about myself though. It's up to Robinstar of course.

"Ice-eye?" He repeated, making eye contact with Icepaw. Her eyes were pretty. Though he had to agree with her- it was kind of evil sounding. He could tell she didn't like it too much. "Your siblings were just messing with you." He reassured. "I bet it'll be something like Iceflower or Icepetal."
'Wolfheart. Wonder why she picked that.' He wrapped his tail over his paws. "Wolfheart, hm? I can roll with that." He gave a nod. "Yes, I guess it is up to Robinstar. But don't worry, I think he's a pretty good namer."

A breath of relief flooded through her when Wolfpaw assured her that her litter mates were most likely kidding as that was what kits do normally. She then smiled brightly when he started stating names that would suit her best. I like Icepetal. Though Iceflower has a nice ring to it. She meowed after thinking for a few heart beats. She looked at him again and really believed that Wolfheart would be a perfect name for him. Just how brave you look and how you have a heart like a wolf. I never will meet one but if this anything like dogs, they stick together. Just how you look, you seem like a warrior that would do anything for his clan.
She felt wise, like an elder...
Suddeenly, that feeling was taken away when a cool breeze struck her. It reminded her of home though she had gotten used to the warmth, it made her chill and shiver.

"Mhm." He liked the name Icepetal. Anything to do with flowers was nice, though. 'I'm glad she likes it. Though I bet Robinstar will come up with a better one.' He thought, eyes widening a little when she started speaking again. Wolfpaw could feel his ears getting hot. He quickly looked down at his paws with a shy smile. "Thanks, Icepaw. You're really sweet."
After a few moments he glanced up again, noticing her shiver. Wolfpaw stood up and padded closer, lightly brushing his pelt against hers. He didn't want his clanmate to be cold. "You alright?"

She felt Wolfpaw's pelt brush against her and felt instantly warmer. She looked back up at him when he asked if she was alright. Yeah, just a chilly breeze got me. Being in this barn made me become weak to the cold now. She meowed softly and without thinking buried her white head into his shoulder trying to rid the cold. It must have been awkward for his, but she was so cold still it felt like she had to cling to him to stay warm.
She quickly wrapped her tail neatly over her paws and looked up at Wolfpaw. Thank you for warming me up from the cold. She meowed a thanks to him. Your the sweetest tom I've ever met. Well more like cat. She stopped talking and wondered what to say.

Wolfpaw laughed lightly. "You'll get back on your paws. Don't worry about it." He said softly, looking at his shoulder when she buried into it. He didn't mind. She felt cold. He gave her a lick on the head, smiling when she thanked him. "No problem." He took a seat next to her, humming a little when it went silent.
After a while he took another look at her. "I think we could be friends." He said aloud, hoping she agreed. She was kind, and that was a good quality for a friend to have.
