Messy fur, messy life (O)

[Stormpaw]

Stormpaw stumbled out of the den and lay down in the dust. Her flanks heaved but aside from that she appeared dead as a door nail. After a little while she tugged herself upwards and began to clean her thick, fluffy pelt.  She managed to untangle most of the knots and shake out most of the trapped debris of moss, leaf and dust she had collected overnight. The poofy apprentice was so busy concentrating on making herself presentable, she barely noticed the cat padding toward her.

[Icypaw]

"Hello" Icypaw called Cheerfully.
 Pausing she asked "I'm not interupting
 anything am I?" she noticed the feline
 was cleaning a rather messy pelt. With
 a warm smile she sat down, not waiting
for an invite she was to friendly for that.
"I'm Icypaw, you are?"

[Stormpaw]

She stopped mid-lick and lifted her broad head, her tongue half stuck-out. "Oh hi, and no it's fine." She drew her tongue back in after realising it was poking out between her canines. "Nice to meet you, Icypaw, I'm Stormpaw but you can call me Storm if you want."

[Icypaw]

She purred with amusement as
she was having a tongue stuck
out at her. Before the other
feline pulled it away of course.
With a bright smile she beamed
"Great" she settled a bit more now
at total ease. "Nice to meet you too,
Stormpa- Umm I mean Storm" she giggled,
"How is your training coming along?"

[Stormpaw]

"I haven't been out training yet but Im sure it'll be soon." She answered, her fluffy tail swaying. "How about yours?" The larger apprentice smiled.

[Icypaw]

She nodded as the feline spoke of the little
training she had received. "I'm soon you'll
get to go soon" she smiled and nodded. "Great,"
she beamed then added a bit less confidently "But
i've only been once so far" she said with a shy hint
that quickly disappeared. "Your tail is super pretty!"
she said with a grin studying the felines Fluffy tail being
older she seemed to have a larger frame and as obvious not
a tiny stump for a tail.

[Stormpaw]

"Oh thank you!" She smiled at the other shecat. "You're really pretty, by the way." The large tabby added almost too quickly, then paused awkwardly before continuing. "So how are you?"

[Icypaw]

She ducked her head, as the words seemed bit
rushed. "Oh, umm thank you" she shook her head
amused with her self. Perking up at the question she
smiled. "Oh Great, thank you for asking" she purred
and tilted her head, "And you how are you today?"

[Stormpaw]

"I am good, also." The large apprentice shook her pelt again, a few leaf debris falling out and floating to the ground. "Sooooo.... I'm sorry, I'm not very good at this whole communication... Thing.." She shuffled her paws awkwardly but kept the same very awkward smile the whole time.

[Icypaw]

She smiled as the feline seemed to be doing well,
as umm well. She let out a small giggle as the feline
admitted conversation wasn't her thing to top it off
was an akward expression amusment glittered in Icy's
eyes. "It's okay, don't sweat it" she purred. "Do you
like being an apprenitce?" she questioned nothing else
seemed to come to mind.

[Stormpaw]

"Not particularly keen on elders' ticks and being told what to do but I guess it's better than being in some stuffy, milky nursery from sunhigh 'til sundown." She replied and sat down, thick tail curling over her fluffy mitts. "How about you?"

[Icypaw]

She let out an amused giggle "I guess your very much right"
she shook her head. "I enjoy it, my mentor is sweet. And
as you said it beat sitting around in the nursury" with a
wide grin she asked yet another question. "Oh yea who is your mentor?"
