Making new friends....learning new things (p-badgerpaw)

Sageleaf groaned. She had been sitting around CloudClan, lazily awaiting someone to speak with. She hadn't realized how lonely she was until there was no one left. She heard a cat approaching, and whirled around, fast as lightning. "Who's there?" she asked in a voice both dangerous and excited.

[Badgerpaw]

Cloudclan was hard to get used to for the apprentice, mostly because of his separation from reality. Badgerpaw had grown rather cold and alone, like his death. He felt fire burn through him as he saw another cat, finally, another clancat in this starry land.

"H-Hey! Its just me!" Badgerpaw squeaked, not responding to her slight hostility.

[Sageleaf]

Sageleaf calmed as she saw a cat much smaller than her approach. "Well, aren't you young. Don't see many young ones around here. I remember seeing you... You see, we watch over the Clans from up here. Badgerpaw, yes? I don't remember your clan though. Tell me, did you ever finish your training?"

[Badgerpaw]

Yes, I am Badgerpaw from Iceclan, and girl, I didn't really start training at all." Badgerpaw laughed, even floating a bit off the ground. All he knew was how to run fast, even while your bleeding to death.

[Sageleaf]

Sageleaf frowned. "Well, that's a shame. Maybe I could help you finish your training. It could be fun, don't you think?" she asked, smiling at the idea of being able to train an apprentice again.

[Badgerpaw]

Badgerpaw stared at his paws, then looked back at Sageleaf. "Yeah, seems fun!" He said, immediately brightening up. "By the way, h-how did you get here." He added, feeling awkward spike in himself. This had to be a common question, right?

[Sageleaf]

Sageleaf chuckled as she saw Badgerpaw's hesitation asking the question of her death. "Eh, there's not much of a story to tell. I was in TreeClan, and a senior warrior at that. I'd joined my leader on a patrol fight against the DeathClanners, and got killed by this cat named Holly. Brutal fight." she growled at the memory. "I should've won...I kind of let my clan down..."

[Badgerpaw]

Badgerpaw listened closely, bearing his teeth as Deathclan was mentioned, but relaxed as he realized he couldn't do much with that. He could only imagine what the fight must have been like. "Well, if you think you let your clan down, that makes two of us." He smiled happily.

[Sageleaf]

Sageleaf tilted her head. "What do you mean?" She asked, curious how one so small could blame himself for anything, let alone letting down his clan.

[Badgerpaw]

Badgerpaw sighed, looking behind him. "I know I helped one cat, but I could have helped my clan and not caused grief to my family." He answered, remembering Crevicefrost's yelling, and being carried by Thornfrost. "Cats could have died for my stupid body."

(Its fine!)

[Sageleaf]

Sageleaf frowned, "Well hey, at least you helped someone! That's really good! Besides, you're still young. Someone should have been watching out for you." she said, wondering where this apprentice's mentor had been at the time.

[Badgerpaw]

"Well, Azaleapetal and Crevicepaw were busy helping the others, they didn't notice I left. And the good thing I did came back just as bad as it was good, worse even." Badgerpaw argued, looking side to side. "But at least no one else died except me and Cheetahpaw..." He huffed

[Sageleaf]

"Slow down. What exactly happened?" she asked, half absentmindedly. She was thinking of the other apprentice who had passed- Cheetahpaw. The name sounded familiar to her... but she couldn't quite place a finger on who it was.

[Badgerpaw]

(Sorry this is so late ahhhh)

Badgerpaw flattened his ears as Sageleaf asked what happened. He smiled weakly and replied, "Well, I got rocks to cause me to bleed a lot, if I wasn't running around like a kit, I probably would've survived..." He felt like he had grown in his time in Cloudclan, feeling childish in his living days.

"Cheetahpaw, from what she told me, she crossed the Thunderpath before the signal and a monster got to her..."

Sageleaf frowned. "Aw, you poor things! Well, I'm glad you're better now.... safe in CloudClan and all. Safe for now at least; we haven't had any wars with the living lately." she said.
