Goldenkit nodded sagely.

Then he broke into a mischievous grin. "Well, we'll have to do some investigating won't we? Be all detective-like. C'mon! It'll be fun!" His tail wiggled in excitement. "I bet finding the right cat will be half the fun!"

Ara smiled. "Yeah. This should be fun!" she said with a condescending smile. "But....who do you think we should pull a prank on?" Arete had no idea whatsoever, so she was curious to hear Goldenkit's.

Goldenkit suddenly got a grin on their face.

"Hey.... Apprentices do chores right?" He began, an idea forming in his head. "They probably hate them, right? So it'd make sense at least one would procrastinate...." He made a grand gesture. "Perfect victim! A slacker apprentice!" He was... Fairly sure there was an apprentice who'd be like that.

Arêtepaw had had to leave the conversation for a moment when the leader called the apprentice's ceremony, but she returned to Goldenkit when it was done. "Sorry, just got my ceremony." she said with a stupid grin. "I do think that's a good idea! You got any ideas for some apprentices? I was thinking an older apprentice, one close to becoming a warrior!"

Goldenkit was a little weirded out by the sudden ceremony in the middle of conversation.

Jeez.... Wasn't Arêtepaw talking about becoming an apprentice soon and not immediately? This seemed to just confuse the lightly furred tom out of his mind. Ugh... Best to stop thinking about it altogether.

"Oh, yeah. But I don't know any apprentices. Maybe you can scout out someone." He suggested. "You'll be the one in the apprentice's den, anyways."

Arêtepaw nodded. "Hmmm....that could be fun. What about Willowpaw? He'll be a warrior soon, and he seems pretty nice." she said with a laugh.

Goldenkit grinned.

His eyes glittered with mischief. "You should do it and tell me what his face looks like after!" He laughed back.

"I think you should do it. It would be funnier, he's never met you before." she explained.

Goldenpaw cocked his head.

"Well..." He began. "Then you'll have to show me what he looks like! Can't have us go pranking the wrong cat."

She nodded. "Follow me." she said with a grin. She padded quietly over to the apprentice's den, and looked inside. She spotted Willowpaw, who was sitting by himself in his nest. She pointed with her tail in his direction, then looked back at Goldenkit. "He's the one over there, the pale grey tabby with ice blue eyes." she whispered.

Goldenkit followed after his sister to the apprentice's den.

He cocked his head once he had a good look at Willowpaw. "Hm.... Better wait 'till he's out training or something." He meowed.

Ara nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I agree. He should be out soon, his training usually starts before mine." she said, trying to remember the training schedules. He'd be out any minute now....

Goldenkit grinned, mischief glittering in his eyes.

This was going to be so fun! "Now we just wait for him to leave!" He paused. "In the meantime... I should get those prey feet. It should be bird feet! Their feet are real weird and pokey."

Arêtepaw looked at Goldenkit hesitantly. "Are you sure? Bird feet might actually get us in some real trouble. I was thinking something more along the lines of mouse or eat feet."

Goldenkit cocked his head.

"What's the problem? It's not like there's birds on the pile that can actually kill a cat." He'd seen the fresh-kill pile before. The creatures he'd seen with feathers had all been small, not even capable of being a real threat to the smallest kit, he imagined. He didn't see the problem here.
