Shatter nodded and followed and leaped onto the fence. She thought of the spraying water. Brrr.. that would be so cold. Shatter had never leapt fences before. It was new for her. The calico tabby knew that all of the climbing and leaping from tree to tree practice was finally paying off.
While leaping, Shatter almost slipped into a garden. She hauled herself back up. The calico tabby sighed in relief that she did not get soaked.

Ghost turned around when he heard noise behind him, "Careful, you don't wanna fall." He said, walking to the end of this fence and leaping down into an alley. "We're almost there now. No more fences just about two tail lengths down the street."

Shatter did not really like the fences. They were sometimes a bit too slippery and the calico tabby felt uncomfortable a bit while leaping from fence to fence. At the same time it was a bit fun. Shatter leaped down her fence, into, the ally. The calico tabby followed. Her ears pricked up at the roar of monsters dashing arcross the streets.
Shatter just hoped that the park was not as noisy as this.

Ghost looked behind him, a smile on his face when he realised that Shatter was still there and hadn't gotten lost or left behind on the way. He made his way to the end of the alley and through the twoleg sized gap that led to a large grassy field. The park.
The park was full of grass and outlined with a few trees. In one of the corners, there was an area fenced off with loads of things for the twoleg kits to play on.
"We're here. Come on, most rabbits are in the wooded area, away from the twolegs."

Shatter followed him towards the park. Her amber eyes scanned her surrondings. The calico tabby tasted the air for any scent of prey. Shatter then caught a scent. A mouth watering scent. Rabbit! She thought. Shatter could not wait to sink her claws and teeth into the warm neck of the creature.
But then the calico tabby spotted a rabbit nibbling on some grass. Shatter licked her lips before getting into a hunting crouch.

Ghost smiled as he watched Shatter hunt. From what he was seeing she was a very good hunter. Well, obviously she would be in his eyes, the only other cat who he met who knew how to hunt was his dad.
He crouched, stalking in the opposite direction as he sniffed the air for more rabbits.

Shatter began to stalk the creature, taking light steps careful not to make a sound. Once she was close enough, the calico tabby chased the rabbit trying to tire it out. Finally the she-cat leaped, claws outstretched, attempting to land on the rabbit
Shatter gave its neck a quick bite before the rabbit went limp in her jaws. Her mouth watered at the sight of the plump creature. It would make a great meal. The calico tabby sat down to watch Ghost hunt.

Ghost knew that he wasn't the best hunter in the world, so when he could sense Shatter's eyes on him, it almost felt as if he was being judged or tested by her.
At the sight of a plump rabbit, the tom went deathly silent, creeping upon it until he was only a tail length away. Then, he attacked. Brutally. Probably too brutal considering it was just a rabbit, and by the end there were smudges of blood on his face.
He turned back around to Shatter, a small smile on his face as he held the battered creature in his jaws.

A smile appeared on the calico tabby's face. "Good catch." Shatter purred. The calico tabby set down the rabbit she had caught. "Where did you learn to hunt. Did your parents teach you or you learned on your own?" Shatter asked, her head tilting.
The calico tabby was starving. She looked down at the rabbit she had caught hungrily. Shatter looked back at Ghost waiting for him to answer her question.

"My father taught me when I was younger. He was a great fighter, learned from the dogs that used to live with my mum." He purred, proud of his father's achievements.
"He was a good cat," Ghost finished before digging into the freshly caught rabbit.

Shatter's amber gaze fixed on Ghost. "He must have been a great cat" The calico tabby she-cat murmered softly. "He must be proud to have you as a son:" Shatter meowed again. The calico tabby looked at her catch. Shatter bent her head and began to munch on the rabbit's juicy red flesh. The calico tabby had not had such good prey in moons

Ghost nodded silently. His dad always did say how proud he was, but he still wished for a more recent opinion.
He tore a piece of rabbit off slowly, ears almost flattened to his head.

Shatter gulped down the last bits of the rabbit before grooming her pelt a bit. The calico tabby stood up and looked up at the sky. The sun was already starting to set. Shatter had to get home before other rogues decide to steal her den
"It's getting late, I have to go" The calico tabby murmured. "It was nice meeting you Ghost" She meowed a smile appearing on her face

"It was nice meeting you too, Shatter." Ghost replied, standing up and finishing the last bites of his meal. The young tom began to turn in the direction of the alley, a smile on his face.
"Will I see you around again sometime?" He asked, slowly walking as he awaited a reply.

Shatter smiled. "Of course. If we see each other again I could show you where I live" The calico tabby purred. "See you Ghost" The she-cat meowed slowly walking away. The calico tabby looked over her shoulder and smiled. Ghost was a friendly and a nice cat. Shatter was happy to have him as her friend.
