LakepawMelodysong was overjoyed. Her daughter was finally an apprentice, and Melodysong got the opportunity to mentor her. She padded into the apprentice's den, and found her daughter chatting with some other apprentices. Padding up to them, she said, "Sorry to interrupt, Lakepaw, but it's time for your training to begin. Please grab some fresh-kill and meet me at the barn entrance." she said, and walked outside of the makeshift camp.

Lakepaw's ears pricked up at her mentor's call. Oh I forgot today training. The long-furred pale gray tabby trotted out of the barn. "Good morning Melodysong." Lakepaw greeted cheerfully.
Lakepaw's tail twitched. "So what are we going to do today? Hunting? Fighting? Bedding? Territory tour?" The long-furred pale gray tabby asked, icy blue eyes gleaming.

(Sorry for the late response. Exams.)
Melodysong laughed. "Well, you've go some big ideas...and normally I would start out with a territory tour. However, we can't really do that, for we're no longer in the IceClan camp. However..." she said, trying to think of what she should start Lakepaw out with. Hunting and fighting were important, yes, but so was discipline. She gave her daughter a smile. "We're going to start out with bedding for the kits. Then we can move on to the more exciting things. Please go get some clean moss," she said, nodding to a pile towards the corner of the barn, "and replace the old moss in the make-shift nursery. I'll be supervising you. go on!" she said with a laugh.

Lakepaw's tail drooped and she looked down and her paws. "Oh." Was this what apprenticeship is about. Doing chores like cleaning out stinky bedding. Lakepaw thought apprenticeship was more exciting than this but she was wrong. The long-furred she-cat walked over to the pile of bedding and grabbed some moss. She carried it towards the make-shift nursery and set it down.
Lakepaw began to work. She cleared out the old bedding and put it in a pile near the exit of the make-shift nursery. Lakepaw then replaced the old bedding with the newer fresh moss.

(Sorry it's been taking me so long to respond lately. Final exams and all. I'll be much more active during the summer.)
Melodysong laughed to herself as her daughter sulked off to do her chores. The reason it was so funny was because it was almost exactly how she'd reacted when she was an apprentice. Lakepaw was like a mini version of her. She grinned at Lakepaw as her apprentice approached her after finishing the bedding changing. "All right." she said. "Now that that's done, I think it's time to do something interesting. I'll let you choose. Hunting or fighting?" she asked.
