Watching (Sandflower and Petalfur)

Melodysong sat at the front of the barn, waiting for her fellow warriors to join the watching patrol with her. Sandflower and Petalfur would be joining her shortly, and she wanted to start the guard as quickly as possible.

Petalfur

    There were so many eyes in the barn. Eyes, hearts, and claws. Petalfur shook her pelt, uncomfortable knowing such things. The barn was still plagued with the scent of loner, and the Bengal was thankful for the scent of fresh air as she approached the front of the barn.
    "Melodysong, yes?" She asked hesitantly as she dipped her head in greeting, joining her clanmate. She had never been very good at initiating conversations, but she was a sucker for a chat. "Petalfur."

Melodysong dipped her head to the older warrior and gave her a smile. "Greetings." she said. "Yes, it is Melodysong. It's nice to meet you Petalfur. I've heard great things about you." she said with a smile. She was pretty sure that Petalfur was mentoring one of her kits...or apprentices now, she supposed. She wasn't sure what else to say, so she simply sat there and waited for Petalfur to respond or for Sandflower to join them so they could begin the patrol.
