Ripplepaw was up at an unearthly hour. Why? Training- He was going to further his journey towards becoming a warrior! He probably overdid it, waking up way before the usual hour that Crevicelight usually began their training sessions, but he couldn't help himself. Ripplepaw felt the need to prove himself, especially since their last session went so terribly; The thought of it made Ripplepaw cringe with embarrassment.
Ripplepaw sat rather timidly a ways off from the warrior den. It was unrealistic to expect Crevicelight to be awake this early... However, his excitement got the best of him and he decided maybe taking a short glance inside the warrior's den couldn't hurt. He wouldn't wake her if she was sleeping, just check... Ripplepaw crept up towards the entrance of the den, making sure to sound as quiet as possible. The tom peeked his head in and scanned his eyes for his mentor.

Crevicelight was in fact, awake. Just knowing that Ripplepaw was well know let the warrior know that the two could resume their training. She didn't know what happened, but she did see him the day prior and he looked better than before. So she saw the shadow creep to the entrance and the Turkish Angora stared at it. Ripplepaw? Why was he awake now though? It was earlier than usual, and it was usually her who had to wake up her apprentice, not the other way around! Nonetheless, the warrior got up and crawled over her sleeping denmates, careful not to wake anyone up. "Good morning!" she whispered to her apprentice before jogging a few paces to wake up.

The tom's face lit up when he saw that Crevicelight was indeed awake. "Good morning to you!" he chirped, a grin engulfing his face. He was determined to do better this time!
Watching the warrior pace a bit, his face fell. "Oh.. oops! I didn't wake you? I did, didn't I..." Ripplepaw shuffled his paws as he began to feel guilty. "Sorry, I'm a little bit... jittery this morning. I couldn't sleep really... Sorry..." he mewed, lowering his head a little.

Crevicelight stopped when Ripplepaw started to doubt himself again. Hmm. "No! You're alright!" she reassured. "I was supposed to be awake about an hour ago anyways, but I slept in. The heat's starting to get to me." The perks of having a medium, closer to longer coat. You absorbed heat quicker. She then gently bumped shoulders with her apprentice. "If you're jittery then I think I'm more than you, Ripplepaw." She knew of things like insomnia and looked at the tom. "Do you want to talk about it? I'd rather make sure your health's alright before we head out. Our training can be postponed for a few hours?"
the awkward moment when you highly believed you posted, but it didn't post, so you have to write a new response. ;n; and hey, you're almost at warrior status.<3 omg do you want me to draw a pic of Ripple with Crevice? I'm so down. ✿

[I've done that so many times, I totally understand. And I'm so ready for warrior status! The picture idea sounds incredibly cute and amazing, I'd be totally down for that. c:]
The tom relaxed at his mentor's ensuring words and let himself calm down, making sure to still his paws. "Well that's good. And sleeping in can be good! It's important to relax every now and then..." he told her, although he felt a little hypocritical saying that seeing as he never seemed to relax himself.
"Oh, er... my health? No... No, I'm okay... I think? I slept enough, if that's what you're worried about. I think I'm just nervous because I don't want to mess today up... I've kind of felt like a... uh... well, a failure. Especially with that last training session..." He hadn't really planned on talking about how disappointed he had felt last time, but he really didn't want Crevicelight to think he was sick or something, and he rather just tell her then postpone his session.

Crevicelight took the time to take in Ripplepaw's acknowledgement of their previous training session. "It wasn't that bad!" she reassured. "My first mentor disappeared during our territory tour and I had to find my way back." She sighed. "Thankfully, Cloverstar offered to train me instead, but I wonder what happened to my first mentor. Maybe she went back to her former clan, I'm not sure." She noticed that Ripplepaw seemed down, but pushed it aside. He did seem to just want to get to their training after all. "Right. Did you eat yet? We can go over hunting today!" Crevicelight brushed herself again and then skipped over to the entrance, waiting for Ripplepaw to join her. 'Wow! He might actually be your first who actually makes it to warriorhood! Spiderleaf and Cloverstar would have been so proud of me!'

The tom's ears flattened at her story, thinking of having to blindly navigate through unfamiliar land... but then his ears perked up again. "Woah, you were trained by Cloverstar? That's pretty cool!" He purred, obviously impressed. "Although... it's sad about your mentor, he told her with a frown. Where did all the missing cats go...?
"Maybe Rockclan is haunted..." he suggested, then instantly let out an almost forced laugh. "I mean, not that I believe in that kind of stuff... obviously." He was losing focus...
The tom nodded. "Don't worry, I ate!" Hearing that they would go over hunting, a nervous excitement filled the tom. 'Hunting! he thought happily, following his mentor to the entrance.

She grinned at his fascination of her getting mentored by the one and only Cloverstar, and then too laughed, at the suggestion that the clan was haunted. "It's a good thing you ate! Because we're going to be out the whole day, but the cool thing about hunting while not on patrol is that you get to eat some of your kill." The warrior walked, leading the two back into the territory, avoiding the cliffs. "Even if we are a haunted clan, we're still here, but I think it's the loneliness and isolation that's the haunting part. . ." she whispered, thinking about what Ripplepaw was saying throughout until they reached a suitable hunting ground. It was not was rocky, with some sand and grass around. Perfect for lizards and the such.

[sorry about how slow I've been posting! hopefully i'll have more time for this site now]
The tom grinned widely. A whole day of training! 'One step closer, Ripplepaw. Don't fail Crevicelight... Don't fail yourself!'
As she talked over the basics of hunting, the tom listened intently. He didn't want to miss anything she was saying.
The sudden solemn comment from his mentor made Ripplepaw frown, although he had to agree with her. A lot of the people he had come to know in Rockclan always ended up dissapearing... he wondered if Crevicelight had the same experiences as him. Instead of asking, the tom followed his mentor silently.
"Is this it, then? Great!" Ripplepaw commented when they stopped. He realized he hadn't really talked the whole way there. "I... I think this time I'm definitely ready," he told her, before adding, "Thanks for cheering me up this morning. I'm a lot more confident this time around!"

Crevicelight nodded at his comments, whether hunting or her attempts of cheering him up. She was doing a lot better at reaching out to others it seemed, though she still needed to work on it. "The first thing is the hunter's crouch!" she dropped herself to the ground, body hardly above the dirt. Her tail was straight, high in the air in order to balance her body out, though it was probably hilarious to see a huge plume of a tail in the air. "I want you to try out this position. It might feel awkward first, but it's sort of like a pounce. Then I want you to try walking around a bit with the hunter's crouch." Crevicelight then repositioned herself to sit down and waited for her apprentice to start his training finally.
