Crowkit had decided to take the day off from "guarding" the TreeClan camp, instead deciding to spend the day lazing about in his nest. He guessed that the warriors could handle protecting the clan for a day. Usually the small tom-kit spend his days sneaking around camp, searching for intruders that may have slipped inside without provoking the attention of the TreeClan warriors. He had yet to find a real intruder, but one day he might! Currently the little kitten was curled up in a ball, his dark nose tucked neatly under his fluffy tail as he lay on top of his nest. He was not yet asleep, but rather in a peaceful doze. An unusual movement in the moss under him caught the tom-kit's attention. He peaked his dull amber eyes open, shifting around to try and pinpoint where the strange movement had come from. Probably just the wind, he thought drowsily. A soft, tickling sensation on his back paw made Crowkit raise his head. A sharp squeak escaped him when he spotted a large spider crawling on his paw. "OH DEAR CLOUDCLAN GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME!" he screech, jumping up out of fright and shaking his back paw while attempting to run away. He ended up tripping and tumbling to the ground, eventually rolling into the wall of the nursery with a loud "thud".

Birchkit had been sleeping the whole time, curling her tail around her small kit body. The brown and white tabby was woken up by the screaming off another kit. "Would you quiet down!" Birchkit snapped, tail twitching in annoyance. "Some of us are trying to sleep here and we can't because of your screeching and wailing." The brown and white tabby growled. "I bet every piece of prey Is scared off!"

Crowkit looked up, dazed, towards the familiar voice that addressed him after he was finished making all his racket. After blinking a few times so that his vision became less blurry, the tom-kit looked up at the kitten who addressed him previously--recognizing her as his sister, Birchkit. "Ahh, sorry sis," the dark-furred kitten mewed, tucking his head apologetically and wrapping his tail around one of his back legs. He perked back up to explain why he had made such a fuss, "it's just that there was this really big spider!" he flinched back a bit when he heard how pathetic that sounded out loud.

Birchkit sighed. "A spider? Really." The brown and white tabby murmered. "It must have been the size of a badger I guess from all your screeching." Birchkit licked her paw and began to groom her pelt. The brown and white tabby calmed down a bit.

"Well, I mean," Crowkit huffed slightly, knowing that he had probably over-reacted, "it wasn't that big, but, y'know, it was still pretty huge," he padded closer to his sister, the smokey-black fur along his spine still standing on end, "like, it was even bigger than my whole paw." His dull amber eyes scanned the nursery floor, looking for any sign of the spider.

Birchkit nodded. If she could have seen it she might have been scared too if it was bigger than a cat's paw. The brown and white tabby then decided to change the topic. "So umm.. What do you like to do?" Birchkit asked head tilting from one side to another.

Crowkit mentally sighed, glad to have the topic moved off from his little commotion earlier. "Meh, not much," he mewed, wrapping his tail around his paws after taking a seat next to his sister, "I mean I guess I play games 'n' stuff, but nothing too interesting," he pouted a bit and twitched his whiskers. He was looking forward to becoming an apprentice, hopefully it would make life more interesting. "What 'bout you?"
