In Greenleaf, Flamepath found it was much to hot to do much of anything during sun-high. The rocks were unbearable against the paws and it made for sluggish cats. That is why the deputy began making both patrols and training sessions either in the early morning or near dusk. Today Flamepath decided to take his newest apprentice out during the night time. It would not be dark out for an hour or so, the sky still just as bright as if it were afternoon, but it was significantly cooler out and much more tolerable for training. Yarrowpaw also was not a newly-made apprentice, rather she just needed a new mentor...so Flamepath was sure they could skip the exploration of the territory bit, which requires a lot of daylight as it takes forever.
Flamepath glanced around camp in search of his new apprentice. The deputy cocked his head, unable to find the small she-cat, and called out for her. "Yarrowpaw , Yarrowpaw! It is time to head out!" He hoped wherever she was hiding, she could hear him....hopefully eager to get back on training.

Yarrowpaw was in the dirtolace when she heard her mentor calling for her, quickly kicking some dirt over her business she ran out, swiveled and bounded over to Flamepath, ready to resume training, "I'm ready!" She meowed with a grin.

Flamepath let out a friendly smile as he saw Yarrowpaw bounding up to him. He hadn't had an apprentice for some time and he really missed it. It was extremely hard to be a mentor and deputy all at once, but it was a good kind of difficult task. He took pride in it.
"Great!" he chirped as he looked down at the tabby. " I had a few ideas in mind for what we should do today...but I wanted to check with you to see what all you had covered with your previous mentor first. I do not want to repeat any lessons and bore you to death" he chuckled, his plumed tail swishing back and forth. "So have you practiced hunting yet?" he asked cocking his head to the side.

(Sorry about inactivity, I was on school camp...)
Yarrowpaw nodded, "Well, I really only had Runningfeet for less than a moon, so I never went to a gathering with him, he showed me the territory, and we did a little bit of hunting training but that's it." She meowed, thinking back a moon.

(No problem...I am sorry about this super late reply, I was camping! ^^')
Flamepath nodded in acknowledgement as Yarrowpaw spoke. She knew most of the territory and had hunted before. Flamepath was not big on battle training so early into apprenticeship so he really wanted to save that for another day. He didn't want to bore her either though. "Here I got it...." he began looking down at the tabby. "We will do some hunting training today....but for something you probably haven't tried hunting yet...sound good?" he asked, keeping what there were doing at somewhat of a mystery, as he beckoned her with his tail to follow him as he began walking out of camp.

Yarrowpaw grinned, "Okay!" She meowed excitedly, looking forward to finding out what they were hunting. She stretched her back out, enjoying the feeling for a moment, she yawned and followed Flamepath out of the camp, her ears pricked.

Flamepath gave her a smile and nodded. "Alright, let's get going then!" he chirped as they left camp. They had a bit of a walk until they reached their destination, but it wouldn't take dreadfully long.
In front of them stretched their territory. Rocky with patches of tall grasses, some clumps of bushes, and the occasional tree. There were lots of dips and drops in Rockclan so they had to have some serious muscles to jump and scale inclines and declines. Today they would be heading downhill to the stream closest to them, the one that was nearest to the Treeclan boarder and small strip of pine forest that Rockclan had. "Okay Yarrowpaw we need to head to the creek by the Treeclan boarder....can you tell me which way we are headed?" he said, testing her slightly. He knew the stream was downhill, on their left, but he wanted to see if Yarrowpaw had a good sense of the territory.

Yarrowpaw walked quickly behind her mentor, "The creek? Isn't that down this hill, and then uh, right? Wait... No it's left! Down and to the left!" She meowed, thinking it through. She was glad that she could even remember, it'd been so long since she'd last been out.

Flamepath chuckled and nodded. "You may be a bit rusty but you at least somewhat remember where we are headed. Give it a few days and your head will be refreshed in no time" he mewed as he flicked his tail and headed to the left. It was not a terribly far walk to the creek since he liked to take the shorter route, it was just a tad steeper. He found himself pressing harder with his steps to make sure he didn't start to tumble forward at certain spots.
After a bit of careful walking the creek was in sight, trees and bushes crowded more here than anywhere in the territory. The small bank was almost a forest if it were not for the fact that it was indeed a small bank, the plant growth stopped only a few fox-lengths from the creek on each side. "Okay we are just a hop away now!" he said as he looked down at the creek, they were still at high ground and the creek was not only infront of them...it was also below them.
There was a bit of a drop to get there, where the cliff cut off from the path. "You are going to just need to gather all your strenght in your hind-legs like this...." he trailed off as he crouched to the ground and bunched his legs up. "And jump!" he called as he leaped off the edge of the path, lading on the grass below them seconds later. He shook out his fur and looked up, "Now your turn Yarrowpaw, you got this!".
