Ash Ash was rather hungry, since she couldn't find much prey for nearly a half hour. It's the season for plenty of prey.. she thought, wiping her face with a paw. The dark grey tabby scanned the area for any signs of live, knowing she couldn't smell anything anyway, and decided to plop down next to a nearby tree. What's with DeathClan these days? It's boring... she thought, almost sarcasticly.

Michael's den was beneath the roots of a tree.
He found himself to be irritated, noticing a she-cat plop down next to his tree. True, she was older... But Michael reserved any compassion he might have in that icy mass he called his heart for family members only.
He emerged from his den and narrowed his eyes at the offender. "Are you aware of your surroundings?" He demanded, not growling, but not sounding friendly either.

Ash Ash heard noise and was immediately on alert, then spotted a slightly younger tom appear from the tree. She frowned, then twitched her nose, I would've scented a cat around here.. she thought, then calmly stood up. "I'm pretty sure I'm aware." The tabby huffed a few times, This den is far from the others..

Michael cocked his head.
"Do you make a habit of resting by the dens of others?" He questioned. He did not enjoy the she-cat's attitude. Admittedly, it reminded him of the backtalk he often received from Castiel, though much more informal.

Ash "Not usually," she spat, "Pretty far den you got here." The tabby looked at the tree, then shot her gaze back, waiting for something else.

Michael narrowed his eyes.
"I have no need of your judgement." He calmly responded, but the offended anger at the statement lay just beneath the surface. "I chose my den for reasons that are none of your concern."

Ash Ash huffed, "I am not concerned about your den choices," she was annoyed, "Who are you, anyway?" The tabby thought, her tail swishing impatiently. Gah, I used to hunt here often.. this cat moving in must of scared the prey.. Might as well eat him.

Michael did not care for this female's attitude at all.
"I go by Michael." He responded, his voice icy. Did she look to challenge his claim on his den? Is that why she persisted here?

Ash Ash blinked a few times, "Ash," she said, "You're newer to DeathClan.. aren't you?" she asked, deciding to walk a few steps away, then sitting down.

The steps taken back were not lost on Michael.
Perhaps... She was not here for a challenge. He relaxed slightly, but his icy stare persisted. "Yes." He stated simply, not elaborating further.

Ash "I guess you're lucky then," she mumbled. "I wonder, why did you decide to join? It doesn't seem like you were born here."
