Flamepath made his way over to the apprentices' den. He had just assigned himself another apprentice, being low on available warriors he had to take up more than just his deputy responsibilities this time around. With all these new apprentices, they would have more warriors in no time though.
The deputy stopped once he reached the den and stood outside, calling in. "@malils time for our first day out and about training!" he began with a happy tone, "Meet me at the entrance!" With that he trotted over to the camp entrance and sat down, waiting eagerly to take his newest apprentice out into the territory.

Lilypaw blinked open bright green eyes at the entrance of the apprentices' den with her stomach churning nervously. Training today? Lovely. Getting to her paws, the apprentice made her way blindly to the entrance. A few times, she tripped over a sleeping cat's tail, earning a few sleepy indignant mrrrrows.
As she exited the den, she glanced at the prey pile and shook her head lightly. She wouldn't be able to eat anyways. With that, she bounded over to her mentor with a kind of nervous enthusiasm burning through her chest. " G-good morning, sir. " she stammered out hesitantly.

Flamepath looked over his shoulder as he heard Lilypaw approach. He was confident and nervous at the same time, he knew he could mentor an apprentice without too many troubles but it would take a while for he and Lilypaw to form that mentor and apprentice bond and until then he would have to get to know Lilypaw. "Good morning Lilypaw..." he trailed off as he looked his apprentice up and down curiously for a moment. She looked like she could definitely keep up today, hopefully that is. " And....no need to be so formal!" he grinned, flicking her lightly on the nose with his plumed tail as a light-hearted teasing gesture.
"So.... are you ready to get going? We have a lot to explore." He asked as he got to his feet and stretched himself out, claws digging into the rocky ground. He shook his molted pelt and took a few steps forward before stopping, signaling they were about to start leaving camp and that the small she-cat should follow.

Lilypaw shook out her dark pelt with a light sneeze, and gazed curiously up at the entrance of the clan. For a moment, the she-cat wondered which StarClan cat got her into this mess, but she forgot about it once Flamepath flicked her nose lightly with his tail. Blinking owlishly at her mentor, Lilypaw bounded a few steps after him.
" ..Okay. " then she hesitated a bit. " Sir. " a slightly cheeky smile formed on her face. As she glanced outside the clan, Lilypaw's eyes flickered briefly at Flamepath with an expression that suited more of a scholar. She could see the low bushes surrounding the camp, not to mention the large rocks that surrounded them. A brief feeling of paranoia spas-med erratically throughout her chest.
" From just inside the camp, " Lilypaw started slowly, unsure if she should be speaking at all. " The camp looks well protected from just the rocks outside it. What kind of territory advantage do we have over the other clans? " Critically, the she-cat's keen eyes observed the top of one of the rocks near the entrance. " Theoretically speaking, if a patrol decided to plot their way to the center of command, they could see one of us on top of the rocks and might think that our warrior would do better incapacitated. "

Flamepath felt a smile grow on his face as Lilypaw spoke. She reminded him whole-heartly of himself as an apprentice. Thinking tatical, searching for answers to much more complicated and complex questions. He was still unsure of what to think about the apprentice just yet but she sure was something. She definitely will be a quick learner , he thought to himself as he directed his attention to what Lilypaw was talking about.
His gaze followed hers to a few rocks that rose from the ground near the entrance. It was true that Rockclanner's were not the most hidden, and if you found the right spot you could see most of camp and other spots from above. The camp was hard to get into however, despite being able to be seen.
" Well besides the fact that we are better at scaling and climbing out terrain so only Rockclan cats and maybe Iceclan cats could reach certain points in the territory with ease...there are not any huge territory advantages. A patrol could easily look at out camp from above or plan their attack by simply finding high ground or sneaking up on someone at high ground who is unaware. Things look a lot simpler from above though so it is not as easy as one would think to sneak into Rockclan undetected and uninjured." he tried to explain the best he could, thinking for himself f there was anything else to point out or if he could give a better answer.
"Rockclan is the smallest clan so we are not usually the target of many quarrels to begin with...but the terrain keeps us fairly safe. It takes cats a while to treek up an unfamiliar cliff side" he said looking forward into the territory as they walked on
