Castiel had not met many cats outside his family.

There was that angry tabby and that was it. He honestly hoped the next encounter would be calmer and less violent. His ears perked up. He'd caught a foreign scent, even if he was surrounded by strange scents. He approached, his blue eyes unblinking. "Hello."

Athena had never met another DeathClanner but she thought she would soon. She thought of what would have happened if she had not joined DeathClan. Athena sighed and sat down before raising a paw and giving the back of one of her ears a quick scratch. Her ears flattened when she caught a cat scent.

She then heard a voice

"Hello."

Castiel cocked his head.

"I'm Castiel." He introduced himself. This cat he'd discovered seemed rather wary, judging by the flattened ears. Was he intimidating? He cast a quick look over himself, before his attention returned to the strange she-cat. He wasn't particularly large or threatening in his opinion.

Athena tilted her head and looked at the tom.

"My name is Athena." She looked at the ground. Athena was not really used to being around cats she did not know. She was not really sure if she wanted to talk to this tom. Athena sighed. "So.. How long have you been in DeathClan?"

Castiel cocked his head.

"I am new to Deathclan. I joined recently." He revealed. He wondered if this cat was similar. She did not smell like other Deathclanners, such as that fiery tabby who had attacked Michael.

Athena looked at the tom

"I joined recently as well." She said.

Athena twitched her tail. She did not know what to say. "So... is there a reason you joined DeathClan. You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

Castiel cocked his head.

So it was a fellow new recruit. He eyed Athena. He needed to decide how he'd answer this question. "For those who ask, family." He answered, hoping Athena would catch the hidden meaning.

Athena looked at Castiel and nodded.

She decided to not ask him anymore about this topic. Athena stayed silent after that. She thought about the answer the tom-cat had given her.

It seemed Athena wished to respect his vague response. He cocked his head. "Would you be against telling me your reason, as well?" He asked.
