As the sun dipped toward the western horizon, painting the sky in a palette of vibrant reds and soft pinks, Redfang stood from where he'd been dozing most of the day away, soaking in the sun's light. The ruddy tom took a moment to stretch, feeling the coiled tension in his muscles build and then dissipate. Most days, he'd spend his time hunting or training with one of his apprentices, but today he'd been preparing for the night. It had been several days since he'd last met with Snowflurry , and he would have sought him out sooner if not for the fatigue that greeted him at nightfall after a long day of patrols. Today, however, after he'd finished his morning activities, he'd taken the time to laze about and take sporadic naps. Feeling well rested, the tom scanned the camp, his gaze finally coming to a rest on a familiar tabby gray pelt. Hope he isn't too tired, he thought to himself as he made his way over to the other tom, the darkness of night just beginning to permeate the world as the moon started its journey across the obsidian sky. "Hey there, stranger. Up for a walk?" Redfang asked, nudging Snowflurry gently as a grin tugged his lips upwards.

(Hello cello! Horrible person squad here, asking someone to make a thread and then not even reply for two days? Thats a me, so sorry~)
The sky was beautiful at the moment and Snowflurry didn't want to miss a chance to look at it. He lay in the clearing, admiring the colors painting the horizon and watching as the sun slowly began to disappear from sight. Melting the sky into different colors as sunset began to draw to a close and dusk peaked up above him. It would soon be dark out and it already showed, it had gotten significantly cooler out with these last passing minutes. In Greenleaf Snowflurry definatley could appreciate night more for that aspect, no icky daytime heat.
The tom's ears perked up as he heard someone speak to him and a smile grew on his face as Redfang nudged him. He had been anxiously hoping every night prior to their last meeting that Redfang would pop by, today was no exception. Snowflurry hopped on his paws, losing a bit of balance at first but straightened up after a moment of playing footie with himself. He nodded at Redfang's previous question and could feel his stumpy tail wiggling happily behind him. "Mhm...I mean no....no not no I mean....oh wow... I meant to s-say yes?" he stumbled as he tried to catch up with his own childish excitement as his mind raced thinking about finally getting to spend time with Redfang again.

(don't worry about it ~)
Redfang laughed at Snowflurry's excited response, a sound that rang in the crisp night air. "Miss me?" he asked mischievously, a smirk forming on his lips. He nudged the other tom in the direction of the camp entrance gently, then began to head that way himself, keeping close to his friend in order to share his body heat, keeping the worst of the night's chill at bay. He'd thought of several places to visit, but he figured Snowflurry may have somewhere in mind as well, so he asked, "Anywhere in particular you'd like to see?" At this point, the moon had risen properly, and several stars had appeared to accompany the silver light it put out; a content smile replaced his earlier smirk, and he turned his gaze back to Snowflurry, a questioning look in his eyes.

Snowflurry smiled shyly and began following Redfang as he nudged him towards the entrance, walking at a leisurely pace. "I only missed you a little..." he puffed, actually responding though embarrassment crept over him, heat rising to his face though he wasn't sure if that was because he was embarrassed of because Redfang was so close he was acting almost as a heater.
Snowflurry found himself staring into Redfang's eyes for a few moments after he spoke. The tabby cat hummed and looked away, at his paws , in thought. He had dragged the other tom to his collection last time they spent time together and though Snowflurry could think of a million places to take them...he would rather see somewhere Redfang had in mind. Where Redfang liked to relax, somewhere Redfang found beauty in, somewhere that Redfang just picked because it was a generic place to hangout; Snowflurry didn't care. "I...I didn't really think that far ahead... well I did technically but... no, I don't have anywhere in particular I'd like to see." he mewed, stumbling over his words slowly as he thought what to say. " Anywhere you like!" he added with a chipper chirp.

Though it seemed Snowflurry may have had one or two places in mind, he seemed content to go along with whatever Redfang wanted. Normally, he'd have pressed the issue a bit more, but there was one place in particular the ruddy tom had been wanting to show Snowflurry, one of his favorite places in the territory. "If you insist, then," he replied with a grin, keeping the pace leisurely even after they'd exited the camp. The sight before him was beautiful; the full moon washed the swaying grass of the prairie in an otherworldly light, and for a moment Redfang was tempted to stop and stare. But when he thought about what his spot might look like in the night's light, the tom stepped the pace up a bit; the spot was near the IceClan border, but it didn't take too long to reach after he'd sped up. The warrior stepped up to the edge of a dip, one which concealed a small creek that tumbled down into an equally small waterfall, the water awash with the same moonlight he'd seen on the prairie which gave it a crystalline quality. The place was small and quaint, but nowhere else had Redfang found a spot so infused with serene beauty. "What do you think?" he asked, turning after a moment to look at Snowflurry with a peaceful smile on his muzzle, the moon lighting Redfang's eyes in much the same way it did the babbling water.

Curiosity flashed across the tabby's face as he followed Redfang's lead into the territory, wondering where it might be that they were going. His eyes glanced up at the moon that was now very present in the sky, it was a full-moon and made everything around them visible in a soft, faint white glow. Snowflurry flinched as he noticed Redfang walking a little faster and he scurried a moment to keep up, looking around as they walked.
His ears twitched as the noise of flowing water hit his ears, actually the noise was a little more than just flowing water. Snowflurry squinted as the continued walking, trying to figure out where they were headed but he rarely was ever on this side of the territory. He stepped into the dip and his eyes lit up as he saw the small waterfall, something Snowflurry had no clue was even in their territory. It was a hidden gem for sure. He watched the water splash down for a few seconds before looking at Redfang. The reflection of the moonlight that danced on the water also shone in Redfang's eyes, making him seem....more peaceful? Snowflurry wasn't sure but he found himself staring for a moment before shaking his head and smiling.
"It is beautiful...I-I didn't know there was a waterfall here.....well...its....calming. I am almost disappointed I haven't found this place myself. he mewed as he continued to glance around, smiling with a small sigh as he took in how pretty it was. He really did appreciate things like this, especially the moonlit water. Something about flowing water was just therapeutic and calming.

Redfang purred softly at Snowflurry's reply; he was happy the tabby found the place beautiful as well. The ruddy warrior turned his gaze back toward the flowing water again, and found himself agreeing with the other tom; it did seem to have a calming effect, as though it was separated from the world of sporadic and random animal noises of the night. "Just luck that I found it at all, really. I don't think many cats know about this place. I think it's for that reason that I like it here so much." He turned back to Snowflurry once again with a quiet purr rumbling in his throat, adding, "But I'm happy to share it with you, of course." Redfang took a cautious step forward, careful not to slip and tumble down the edge of the dip, then picked his way down to the bottom, stopping at the bank nearest the small waterfall. "Care to join me?" he called up to Snowflurry with a grin, tiny drops of spray misting down onto his pelt and making his fur glimmer.

(I went on a two week trip where I thought I would have internet access.....turns out I did not have internet access....forgive me XD)
Snowflurry felt heat rise to his face as Redfang said he was happy to share this more secluded spot in the territory with him. He smiled, a nervous giggle following before becoming a tad more alert as he watch Redfang start to leave his side and slowly work his way down to the bank. Nervousness grew in the small tabby's stomach as he watched REdfang carefully place his paws, it was not a dangerous drop what so ever but he still didn't want him to slip. After the reddish cat was safely on the lfa tground once more, Snowflurry curiously looked down at him.
"C-come down there?.....oh okay!" He looked at his paws for a moment, a tad anxious for some reason he himself couldn't even quite pin-point. He looked down at Redfang again, getting distracted by how interesting the water was making his fur look. He stared at him for a couple of seconds before blinking and slowly making his way down to the tom. He squeaked a few times and flinched when he started to feel his paws slide a tad but a few moments later he was down the little dip. The tiny tabby shook out his pelt in relief and grinned up at Redfang. "Hi" he chuckled with a sheepish smile.

(no worries~)
Redfang kept his eyes locked on Snowflurry as the small tabby made his own descent, ready to move forward at a moment's notice if the other tom slipped. He felt the muscles in his legs coil with tension every time the tabby stumbled or slipped, but he always managed to catch himself before he fell too far down the steep incline. When his friend was safely by his side, smiling up at him along with the simple utterance of 'Hi', Redfang let out a barely perceptible sigh of relief and gave Snowflurry one of his own lopsided grins, affectionately brushing his tail over the other tom's ears. "Hello to you too," he replied, turning his gaze back to the quietly babbling water, a content look in his gaze. Yet again he wondered at Snowflurry's ability to make him feel happy even when doing something as simple as watching a stream flow smoothly past. "I'm happy I met you, Snowflurry," he said after a moment of companionable silence, turning his gaze back to the other tom with his grin still in place. An uncustomary embarrassment hit him after the words left his lips, and his smile turned a bit timid. "Sorry if that was sort of out of nowhere," he added quickly. He had to wonder at his flustered add-on. Why would that embarrass me?

Snowflurry lifted his head slightly as Redfang's tail glided over his ears, welcoming the affectionate gesture. The tabby tom just smiled as the reddish tom answered back to him simply. A curious look spread across Snowflurry's face as he followed REdfang's gaze towards the water. The small warrior found himself staring at the water as it moved for a few moments, memorized almost as he observed how the light bounced off the water differently as it flowed. Wasn't the most exciting activity but he felt as content and happy as ever.
His ears perked up as Redfang spoke. Snowflurry could feel his eyes go wide for a moment, embarrassment spreading through him like a chill. His eyes met Redfangs and he just stared before being snapped back by an apology. Why is he apologizing? Snowflurry couldn't help but think of himself, always apologizing for things that no one needed to apologize for. It was a bit out of character for Redfang for sure though, and it made his chest flutter with an odd feeling. A burst of instinctual confidence came over him and he leaned forward and pushed his head upwards, brushing against Redfang's chin. "You...you don't have to apologize...I.....it's fine" he stuttered, tripping on his own words as he pulled away from Redfang and looked up at him. "I'm glad that you're glad that you met me?" he said with a tiny chuckled and shy smile. Cocking his head to the side he began to have more puzzled look. "Or I am just glad we met too or err....t-those are really the same thing aren't they?.... kinda...well...oh rats..." he began to trail off in embarrassment and started thinking about what he even was trying to say in the first place.

Redfang felt a return of his usual confidence as Snowflurry nudged him affectionately, a self-assured smirk replacing his timid grin. "Right. I guess I don't," he said in reply to Snowflurry's affirmation that he need not have apologized. The ruddy tom laughed quietly as the tabby stumbled over his own reply. "Cute as usual," he said with a wink, then turned his gaze back toward the stream as a thought struck him, his eyes wandering the water's surface until he found what he was looking for; a cluster of stones, large enough to lay on, that stretched across the stream and would allow a cat to cross without having to make the trek back up the slope. He padded downstream, where the stones sat in the flowing water, and leapt forward. The distance wasn't great, and he landed easily enough; he turned to look back at Snowflurry, a grin playing across his lips. "Come on!" he called, moving to make room for the other tom. Though he was sure the tabby would make the jump easily enough, he felt a familiar concern stir in his chest at the thought of Snowflurry falling into the water. Best to be safe.

(I moved into my school like 3 days ago and before that was preparation and my computer was packed up for at least a week annnddd.....sorry I swear I SHALL RESPOND REGULARLY!)
Snowflurry felt his ear's perk up and his eyes got wide. There it was again, Redfang and his use of the word cute. The tiny tom stood bewildered for a moment before snapping back to reality and noticing that Redfang was on the move. Snowflurry jumped top his toes and scampered forward after his friend. He stopped curiously as he watched him leap onto the rocks in the stream. His heart twisted with anxiety and Redfang invited him to follow suit, he also had a rush of excitement as well. He smiled nervously at the look Redfang gave him and tested a paw in the water. Cold.
"Okay....I will .... I'll just...." he called to him as he adjusted himself to jump on the rock, it was not far at all but Snowflurry always worried. With a quick jump, he extended his paws forward and hit the slick rock in front of him. "Omfp!" he squeaked as his back feet didn't quite hit the rock correctly and his hindquarters slipped into the water. He scrambled to get up onto the rock, his back claws scrapping at it trying to get a grip. After a few frantic moments he was on the rock safely. He let out a breath and pressed against the rock for a moment and chuckled nerviously. "Oh my cloudclan......sorry....I just slipped a bit...I am okay, a-adventure onward?" he said with a breathless voice, obviously startled but he didn't want to ruin their fun.

(don't worry about it~~ I'd also like to warn you of the possibility of reduced activity on my part, at least for a little bit, starting this coming week, as I'll be starting college ) Redfang felt his anxiety flare as Snowflurry propelled himself into the air, followed by a flash of panic as the tabby's rear legs slipped into the chilly currents of the stream. He rushed to help his friend up onto the rock, but found it unnecessary as the other tom managed to pull himself the rest of the way onto the rock. He ignored Snowflurry's apology, nervous energy fueling him as he carefully examined the other tom for signs of injury; when he found none, he curled his tail over the small tom's back and pressed against his side, hoping he could stave off any possibility of sickness. "Are you alright? You aren't hurt? Do you feel cold? Lightheaded?" Redfang asked his questions in a flurry, hardly leaving space for the tabby tom to answer, restless worry shining in his usually mischievous gaze as he met Snowflurry's eyes.

(I will be in the same boat with my college classes starting Monday so I guess we both can just expect the other to be busier than usual x3)
Snowflurry stiffened as Redfang looked him over, just looking up at the tom with startled eyes. The tabby cat got to his feet slowly and was welcomed by the warmth of Redfang's fur. He buried his head slightly into his side, feeling a sense of comfort. Releasing a shaky sign he lifted his head and shook his head. "No I-I am alright....just a bit s-spooked...but I am cold" he confirmed, his voice cracking as it he were on the verge of crying. He shook his fur as much as he could on the small space and breathed in deeply again. He couldn't let himself get too overwhelmed or he might start to panic.
"It was just a little slip...I-I am sure I will be fine I promise!" he smiled weakly but his ear dropped a tad a he saw the worry in Redfang's eyes. It wasn't a lie, his paws honestly just slipped but still. The immediate feeling of guilt hit his heart instantly, his chest growing heavy. I ruined yet another thing... he thought at he stared at Redfang.

Redfang felt a strange heaviness in his chest at the look of sadness on Snowflurry's face, a feeling which only deepened when he heard the slight hitch in the tabby's voice. He nearly made an even bigger fuss, but stopped himself; he'd only gotten upset when Redfang had started worrying over him, and he suspected the little tom felt guilty about his slip-up. "Well, I'm sure you'll warm up a bit if we just keep moving," he replied, flashing a grin and licking a stray drop of water from Snowflurry's ear. He turned around and leapt for the next stone in the stream; he felt his rear paw slip a bit upon landing, but he kept moving, the act of walking to the far edge of the rock covering the slip easily enough. "Let's go, slowpoke!" he called, keeping his voice light, though he was visibly more tense, prepared to leap forward and pull his friend onto the rock if necessary.
