give me time and give me space - Dapplecloud only please <3- Whitekit smiled as he left the nursery, entering the camp that it was in. It was yet another nice day thanks to the time of year- greenleaf truly was a great season. He shook his black pelt to try and seperate the strands a little before going to rest in the shade created by a nearby rock. He lay there for a while before realising that another cat was nearby. They were older than him, noticeably a warrior, with a patched pelt. "Hello."

Dapplecloud "Hello."The greeting interrupted my thoughts as I was lying there near the rock, thinking of the coming end to greenleaf and the approaching leaf-bare. Not very pleasant thoughts, obviously, so for once I was glad for a distraction. I looked around for the source of the greeting and saw a small black kit, not far off, in the shade of the same rock. Sitting up, I said, "Hello there, little kit. A fine day, isn't it?"

give me time and give me space Whitekit nodded in response, "Sure is, miss," He continued to express his feelings about the day, "But it's still kinda warm." He stopped speaking to try separate the strands of fur on his back in an attempt to make gaps in it.

Dapplecloud I listened politely to what the kit had to say, feeling the same way he said he was: warm in the greenleaf weather, which was uncomfortable at times for all cats. "Yes, I know what you mean by it being warm." I said, shifting a bit so I was in the shade more. "At least we're not like FireClan: their camp doesn't even have much shelter." I added, purring. Suddenly, I realized I had forgotten something in this conversation. "Oh, I probably should have asked this earlier, but what's your name? My name is Dapplecloud."

give me time and give me space Whitekit purred, waving his black tail around happily, "I've never seen Fireclan before... I'm not allowed to leave camp." He complained.
"Oh! Im Whitekit."

Dapplecloud "Whitekit, eh?" I said, purring inwardly at the irony of the kit's black coat. His other words, however, reminded me that he wouldn't have known what FireClan territory was like. "FireClan is unlucky with their weather because they live on a very flat, open plain." I explained. "You'll get to see it when you visit the borders as an apprentice. Good thing they're used to it, I suppose." I purred. Though I didn't like FireClan due to old skirmishes with them, you had to admit that living under blazing sunlight in greenleaf and whirling snow in leaf-bare with few places for cover wasn't exactly ideal.

give me time and give me space "Isn't there any shade anywhere?" Whitekit asked, suddenly interested in Fireclan territory.
"h okay," He smiled, excited to go be able to see the area when he was an apprentice.
-Gah no muse.-

Dapplecloud "There's not much shade: RockClan, being on a cliff, has a lot of rocks and small trees. IceClan is kind of like us, being on a mountain, and TreeClan fits their name: trees all around their border." It was hard to see much of TreeClan through the dense forest, or much of IceClan due to their mountain territory, but I did my best to explain. "But the thing that makes RockClan special is that we're strong: we've survived everything this territory and the other Clans have thrown at us and come through even tougher for it." Realizing I was rambling a bit, I closed my jaws, slightly embarrassed. (It's fine, I'm running out of muse too.)

give me time and give me space -Ah, I just remembered the name of the icon creator (one you used) but they don't have the right markings for Whitebby-
"The other clan territories sound cool," Whitekit purred, waving his tail around before speaking again, "But Rockclan will always be better!" The apprentice-aged kit grinned, bragging about the strength and greatness of their clan. He was very proud to be a Rockclan member.

Dapplecloud "Yes, all of the warriors here are proud of RockClan." I said, my tail swishing. "And I'm sure whatever mentor you get in your apprenticeship will make you into a warrior the Clan can be proud of in return." The tradition of mentoring apprentices had been an essential part of passing down RockClan's special traits: Eagleheart had taught me, and I had passed those skills to my apprentices, such as Spruceclaw, who passed them down to his apprentice. That was what kept the spirit of RockClan strong.

give me time and give me space Whitekit purred. He couldn't wait until he was a warrior. He hoped to become a mentor one day... but he supposed it all depended on how good a warrior he would become. Which he wasn't worried about as Whitekit was confident that he'd be the best warrior Rockland ever had.
"I can't wait until I'm a warrior."

Dapplecloud "Yes, it certainly seems like a long time away, but remember to enjoy your apprenticeship. After all, you're an apprentice for only a few seasons at most." I said. While this was from my own perspective as a warrior, it was true that warrior life could get dull sometimes as compared to the antics of apprenticeship. "Though, of course, it'll be good once you're out of the control of your mentor." I said playfully.

give me time and give me space "I wil... I'm almost an apprentice. Can't wait until my ceremony." He grinned, waving his tail.
"Yeah... Being told what to do sounds boring. I like being independent."

Dapplecloud "That's certainly true." I said, replying to his last statement about being independent. "Though most of my friends were made in apprentice- or mentorship." I said. "Like my sister, Silverstripe, or my former apprentice, Spruceclaw. Who knows, you may even get them as mentors." I said, shrugging.
