As I follow my routine of yawning, stretching, and padding over to the morning sunlight to greet her, I'm fully aware I have a third brother I have yet to greet. Or at least face to face in a full on interaction. Of course we've met, we share a nest for Cloudclan's sake, but we have yet to do any 'sibling stuff.' And so, waving my tail goodbye to my sunshine friend, I pad deeper into the den, using my golden eye to pick out the familiar coat. Unfortunately, my eyesight is a little troubling this morning in the dim lighting, so I follow my nose instead. Which proves effective as I promptly bump into him. I trill a purr and bob my head in an ecstatic greeting, making my purr sound a little funny. For once I pause the rumbling before I speak. "Morning Silentkit !" My voice comes out in sweet little sugary tones, and my eyes sparkle as I do my best to peer at him with the only eye I can, my blind blue orb sort of just staring past him. I offer a happy grin, curious as to what his voice sounds like. I have yet to actually hear him speak, and it sort of concerns me, but I don't put much thought into it as I bounce from paw to paw, switching from diagonals as I await his response. (we may end up incorporating Hailspirit when she finds out he can't talk, cause she'll want to ask her mama if he's alright, and if he needs to go to the med cat, because she's a sensitive wee thing.)

Silentkit was awake with the sky, finding comfort in listening to the sound of his littermates restful breathing. Do I make those noises as well? he thought, trying to see if he could hear his own breathing. He already knew he lacked the ability to speak, he had tried before but he couldn't even choke out a mew. The sound of stirring from nearby brought his attention back to the present.
Good morning, Flurrykit, the tabby thought, smiling at his sister as he sat up in his nest, he had almost opened his mouth to try and speak the words, like she had, but quickly closed it, knowing the the sounds wouldn't come out. Instead, he leaned over and pressed his pink nose to her cheek in greeting.

I stall in my bouncing when he doesn't answer, just sort of opens his mouth, then closes it again and sits there. However, I'm distracted from my confusion as his presses him nose against my cheek. I giggle softly, little musical sounds that patter like raindrops, before swiping my tongue over his cheek in return. "Your silly" I inform him, but I announce it with such amusement and carefree sparkling in my eyes that it's obvious I don't mean it badly. If anything, I'm the silly one. I give him a toothy grin, and bound into the center of the den, waving my little tail behind me. When I turn to face him again, I'm bouncing about like a spring lamb. "Wanna play a game?"
I eye him up, and tilt my head. Wondering what we should play. When nothing comes to mind, I frown slightly, then offer him a bubbly kitten smile. "You decide." I watch him with my ears perked forward, and tail swaying. I've somehow managed to still my movements, but my tail is twitching like crazy, showing I have way too much energy to burn off. I swear my family is like the calm before the little storm that is me. I giggle at the thought, then realise he still has yet to speak. So I wait patiently.

Silentkit returns his sisters grin and nods vigorously when she suggests that the two should play a game together. I never get to play with other kits, he thinks excitedly. Not many kits had ever really approached him before and asked to play, and the ones that had usually left to go play with other kittens after not getting any verbal responses from him; and it wasn't as if he could approach other kittens and ask to play with them. He still hadn't worked out the kinks on how to communicate with others yet.
The ginger tabby freezes up slightly when the other kitten asks him to choose the game. He didn't have much experience playing games, and even if he had he didn't know how he was supposed to tell Flurrykit what he wanted to play. White tail-tip twitching, he looked around, first trying to figure out what to play before trying to figure out how to speak to Flurrykit. His blue eyes landed on a clump off moss that had peeled off from the bedding. Smiling, he trotted over to it and picked it up before trotting back to his sister. Silentkit placed the mossball in front of her, hoping she would get which game he wanted to play.

He seems pretty excited about playing a game. That with his returned grin and rather vigorous nod, and all. But still...no response. Oh well. I bounce around, batting at things and mucking about while I wait for him to say or do something. He's looking at me funny now. I realise this when I look up from the feather I'd found and was playing with, dabbing at it experimentally with one white paw. By the time I open my mouth to ask what's wrong, he goes trotting off after something he's spotted. I blink, then shrug and giggle as I accidentally blow the feather away with a huff of breath. I chase after it and pounce, catching it under my front paws. Yet when I lift my paw, it's gone. Nope. Just stuck to my paw. I laugh and blow it off, then notice Silentkit standing nearby with some moss.
I grin when I spot the moss, and abandon my feather in favour of my brother. Turning, I sway my tail happily, remembering playing this game with Hazekit. "Oh, moss ball! Good choice!" I wiggle my rump excitedly, then bound over and bat the ball of moss toward him. It's a bit lopsided, and a bad toss seeing as I'm a kitten, but it works all right and goes in his general direction. I giggle softly, and eye my brother. "Have you met any other cats or kits yet?" I tilt my head in question and offer a toothy grin, eyes sparking with curiosity.

Silentkit twirled happily when his sister picked up on which game he wanted to play. He was fairly sure he knew the rules to this game; one cat would hit the mossball to another and the two would rally it back and forth as many times as possible before it hit the floor. His blue eyes widened excitedly when Flurrykit hit the mossball towards him. The tabby bolts to the side and dives for it, land on his side while he kits it back towards the she-kit. Quickly, he scrambles back up onto his paws before his sister can pass it back to him.
No, Silentkit mentally replied to the she-kit, he shook his head "no" so he could communicate his answer to Flurrykit.

(Will have to end soo now that she is an apprentice. Maybe pretend she got called out for the ceremony? She'll realise he actually can't talk in perhaps a visiting thread)
I gape stupidly at his move for catching the ball, and then giggle as it lands squarely on my nose. Wave my tail excitedly, I fling it back with a lot less expertise. It's not like with me and Haze, when we had our conversation going as well, it's a lot faster and more intense. His only response to my question is a shake of his head, which is disappointing in more ways than one. I nod slowly, ready for him to toss the ball back. "Don't let it hit the ground." I say, hoping to make it a little more interesting, and without pauses like me and Haze for reply gaps. I swear I hear someone call my name, but I try to brush it off.

(that's cool with me :>) Silentkit grins when his sister manages to rally his clumsy toss. Alright! he wishes he could meow back, but has to settle for a fervent nod in order to convey his feelings. His sensitive ears hear the sound of Flurrykit's name being called. Pouting, he knew that he would have to let her leave, and play with her another time. He leaps for the mossball as it heads in his direction, catching it in his mouth. Smiling through the moss, the tabby tom-kit flicks his white-tipped tail towards the entrance of the nursery, trying to get his sister to go and see whose been calling for her.

I tilt my head slightly as he catches the ball and gestures me to go. I pout slightly, then frown in confusion. He's smiling, so he's not sick of me, so what is it...Then I remember the voice I'd heard calling my name. Nope, that wasn't a memory, that was it calling me again. My ears flicker, and I toss my brother a farewell grin. "See ya later!" I bound of out of the nursery, tail waving in the air, and trot off to find out who on earth is calling me.
(Bye thread!)
