Fang stood on the out side of the apprentice den.... still. He thought about calling out his sons name... maybe asking him to join him for a walk? He felt a turn in his stomach that made him sick. DarkPaws mother and fang had split up and it would seem Darkpaw blamed fangshadow. He stood there like a dumb statue. Taking a deep breath he sighed. Stepping in he called out "Err, umm. DarkPaw." He scanned the area and felt a erg to run... he looked like his mother that was no lie... though things hadn't worked out with Fang and Ash he only hoped he could still save Dark.

Dark sat in the corner of the apprentice den. His mind blank as he stared at the wall. He felt little emotion he had learned when young to loose such silly feelings. His eyes went wide as his name was called. His ears went to his head, in a hostile fashion he whipped around. "Dont you dare say my name!" He arched his back in a angered response to seeing his so called daddy. "What do you want, if it's me you missed that boat" his eyes narrowed.

He wasn't at all surprised by the hateful response. He lowered his head. "I know, and I'm sorry for that..." He looked up at the young tom before him. He could be happy... would he have been happy had things turned out differently? He sighed. "Dar- err son I'm sorry I know I'm not much of a father. I want to change that. Can we umm start over?" Fangs body was tense his kits with Silver were happy well behaved... but that was because he was in there lives... after Ash and Fang had there fall out the kit were kind of her's... |

He hissed with narrowed optics. "Your not sorry! don't you for a moment act like you suddenly care!" He crouched down in a defensive stance. His tail lashing he growled. "What makes you think I want a father anymore. I wanted one when I was a kit and never once did he come. I let go of the relationship you and me could have had okay?" He stood making a more confident effort took a step forward. "I don't need a dad anymore."

His eyes were wide with surprise and overwhelming sadness. He wasn't one to take defeat easy but fang also wasn't one to fight a battle that couldn't be won. Taking a deep shaky breath he tried once more to reclaim that little boy he had let go. All those moons ago. "I know I let you down. There is no way for me to fix that." He looked his kin in the eyes. "But I will always be here. Wither you need me or not..." |

Dark didn't let up he new if he let his emotions toy with his choices it would bite him later. He shook his head hate firing in his eyes. "Your right you can't fix it!" He snarled. Letting one emotion fuel was okay in fact it was only ever anger he seemed to express. "Oh you'll always be here. Just like before! Why don't you go and love your new kits and stupid mate!" He felt tears? how did that happen. He blinked letting the warm liquid drain from his vision.

The large warrior left battled and torn. He watched as one of the last links of his past seemed to slip away.Fang stood there with a sense of helplessness. There was no way he was getting through to DarkPaw. They both new this. He felt sorry for the boy but also the erge to protect his mate and other kids. "Darkpaw you are my son and as much as it may hurt you to hear i'm your father. SilverWhisker is a wonderful mother-" he starts. |

Darkpaw took the look of uncertainty in his so called fathers expression to pull him self on top. Cutting off the male as he even dared say that stupid felines name! "BUT she's NOT my MOTHER" he spat. He stepped froward almost touching fangshadow. Nose to nose, he met the cats eyes. "And your not my father," He side stepped the large male and slipped out side of the den.
