Something doesn't feel quite right about this place. I've finally managed to meander away from twoleg place, and decided to follow the river. I don't know where it leads, honestly, I don't even care. Right now, I need something to eat and somewhere to sleep. Other than stolen kittypet slop and an old discarded twoleg pelt that's torn up and smells a bit like twoleg and dog. No. I need a nice nest of something natural, and some real, live meat. I taste the air, hoping for the chance to catch that bird that flew by a moment ago. It's gone now, however, and I'm not even sure if it landed. I at least know enough to figure I can't leap high enough or fly up to catch it. So I finally set my sights on the river.
I've almost reached what smells like someone else's territory, when I finally pause to hunt. My father taught me to fish once, and I'd always loved fish. And water, swimming, anything to do with water honestly. The only reason I hesitate to fish now, is the exact cat I learnt to do so from. I killed my father. I'm not exactly ecstatic to do something that reminds me of him. I sigh and settle alongside the bank, positioning my paw just above the surface of the water. A glimmer of scales, and my golden paw flicks into the water, curves under the fish, and tosses it onto the bank in a glimmering arc of water droplets. That's when I hear pawsteps, and swivel round to face another cat.

Serenity walked on her own to the river. She was in the mood for fish that day, and to play in the water. Plus she was rather thirsty, so she had plenty of reasons to go down to the river. She wondered where Spice was, because she didn't see her when coming out off her den. Must be on a walk or a hike or something of he sort. It was about mid day and the sun shone brightly above, shining almost directly in her eyes. She slanted left. She would still end up at the river, but the sun wouldn't blind her so much. She got to the river soon, but before she got even nearly close enough to get a drink of water, she stopped at the sight of another cat.
She watched the cat catch a fish, curious as to what the new cat was doing there, and not wanting to turn her back to this new cat. When she turned and looked at Serenity, Serenity spoke. "What are you doing here?" she asked bluntly. She knew most cats would start with Hi, my name is..., but she wasn't most cats, and she sure didn't trust new cats.

I blink in astonishment at this new cat. And not just due to her looks. Those bright green eyes as shimmering white pelt that reflects the sun like snow in leafbare. No. Though the former certainly is rather pretty in my eyes, I'm more worried about the fact that she'll likely get attacked by Blaze if she stays much longer. I back up slightly, my tail dipping into the water. I let it stay there, and my eyes practically beg her to be friendly. 'Please don't be hostile. Oh please don't catch her attention.' Too late. The other female tosses me a rather blunt and territorial question. I prickle slightly.
"I'm sorry...I-I was just leaving. D-d-don't worry a-about it." Before she can even react, I dart forward, grab my fish, and begin to walk off along the river, trying to look calm. It doesn't work. And I know now that I should have left the stupid fish. Should have walked faster, heck, maybe even ran.
Blaze forces her way forward and it's like I'm in some sort of dream. 'Oh no...' Blaze swivels around, and places the fish delicately on the ground, a smirk playing on her features as she uses me as her personal puppet. "On second thoughts..." She strides back towards the she-cat, her movements fluid and graceful, tail swaying slowly. There's no aggression, yet. That won't last long. "Who might you be, hmm? You might as well call me Blaze, unless you want the name of my little pet here." She gestures with a paw to my body as though it's some dusty old rag, or maybe something else. I honestly don't know what she thinks of me.
"Tell me...Is this your territory, love?" She knows my age, but I swear she's older. I wonder briefly how many other cats she's haunted, or has it just been me? Is she a Darkpool spirit? This certainly isn't the first time I've wondered this, and I know well I'm not going to recieve an explanation from her.

Serenity turned around when the other cat darted. No way was she going to let a cat run from her without even telling her what they were doing. "Don't just run!" she called as she chased after the other cat, slightly surprised when they turned around. The look in the she-cats eye had changed and Serenity knew that this would be interesting. There was no aggression in the other cat's voice, but Serenity could see it in the posture, in the vision. That was how she walked, how she talked before she chose to be mean, when another cat approached her. This would be interesting. She smiled slightly. "Blaze? And what might your pet name be?" she asked, confused by the phrase, but not showing her confusion in any way shape or form. "As for my name, call me whatever you want. I don't care." she said, eyes mockingly wide as though she thought that would be the end off the world.
Serenity thought for a moment. "I'd answer that question, but it would be more interesting to let you form you own opinion." she replied with a smirk. "Kitty-pet?" she asked but shook her head. "Not quite the right scent, plus you carry yourself incorrectly for a kitty pet. I've seen plenty of kitty pets to know that. You can bite, and defintly fight, but you have eaten from their hand, am I wrong?" she asked with a taunting smile. "That would make no sense though. If you can fight you can hunt. I've tried the two-leg food an it's horrible. Why eat that if you could hunt?"

Yes. Blaze could certainly get along with this cat. Or call her face off. Honestly, it really just depended on how this went. She returns the smile with one of her own, a little mocking and quite feisty, but still a smile. "Well, if you must know, her name is Soleil." She waves my tail, which is technically also her's, in some offhand gesture of nonchalance. Well, at least I don't have to give her my name myself, I guess. Not that such is really a good thing, seeing as it means Blaze is in control, and certainly having a great time with her freedom.
Blaze smirks softly, not hiding her amusement in the slightest. Honestly, she was just being courteous, asking for the feline's name. The way her green eyes widen and she looks as though either she cares if Blaze knows, or thinks she does, is certainly rather amusing. Maybe she might just keep this one in tact, for amusements sake of course. She certainly doesn't get a lot of that stuck with some stupid child who is admittedly affective at avoiding others. Sometimes. Oh how she could use a good laugh, and it seemed this cat was going to offer her such, at least enough to bring her amusement.
"Ah, I see. You certainly are cocky, but I'd presume this must be one of those clans', no?" For curioustity's sake, she tastes the air, and nods, assuring herself that she is correct in her assumptions. "By my guess, this is that rogue clan. The one who pirdes itself on hostility and death. Correct? Certainly not idle chitchat. Though perhaps I'm wrong?" She props her head slightly on one side, and eyes up the snowy youngling she's currently conversing with. Her words and amusement make it clear she's referring to this feline. Her ears flicker at the words, and she smirks at this. Is she really trying to be offensive, because if so, she's doing a terrible job.
"No dear. I'm no kittypet. You may call me a spirit, a demon, whatever it is you wish." She cracks a slightly evil grin at this, using some of the phrases Soleil had referred to her with. "I'll admit that was Soleil's doing, living near twolegs. Though more so her mother. I guess I was just along for the ride. But hey, who in their right mind would turn down free food?" She raises a fictional brow at the other feline, clearly amused, and not really caring much for her insults. In fact, they just served to further her interest in what the rest of these cats are all about.

Serenity nodded. "So, let me guess, because I have heard of this before. Soleil is a nice kitty cat, or at least would be if not for you influencing her every desision." she asked. She never really had any friends, but this could defiantly turn into a good acquantinceship. "And what are the terms to your freedom?" she asked. She knew this type of thing from her mother, who had died when she was very young, but she still knew enough about the topic.
Not a clan cat. A rouge clan is right. No way would I join one of those clans. Too much trust in the foundation. You should never trust anyone that much unless it is yourself. Or you are somehow a mind reader." she motioned with her tail, "But then you would be snooping and that's not complete trust." she said. She still didn't hear agression in Blaze's voice, knew that Blaze was just amuzed by this. Then again, she wasn't one to complain as she two found this just to be an issue of spare time. "I would turn down free food." she said. "Might be poisoned. Again, never trust other cats, that also applies double to dogs and twolegs and whatnot." She paused for a moment. "A tip to survival, don't die." she added. She truly had no clue why someone would take food from a twoleg. It was simple suicide according to her.

Blaze simply shrugs. The other feline is catching on a little quicker than most, which is a little boring for her. But hey, one can't expect everything to go their way. The younger doesn't know much, though seems to know more than Soleil herself does. Maybe little Sol could learn a thing or two from this older earth companion of hers. "Oh no, dear, I don't influence her at all. We're a bit of a team, one needs the other to survive, no?" She smirks at this, because whether it is true or not, Soleil certainly doesn't share this particular notion. "I have no grant of freedom. I take what I want when I want, and when she thinks she's stopping me, I'm actually just testing her resolve."
She sits down now, merely because it's more comfortable, and she's beginning to enjoy this little conversation of theirs. She wasn't sure she liked this youngling, but at least she wasn't as docile as Soleil. "As for freedom in terms of leaving her, that is not quite possible. You see, she is stuck with me. Like an ulterior personality. She can learn to ignore me, but I'm tied to her, in a sense. Bound I suppose. When one dies, we both die." Generally this is not a thing you tell another cat, but Blaze wasn't really one to care. She's not trusting the feline, just proving she's not afraid of death, not that such a fact needs proving as it is. The other seems to have caught on to that point fairly well.
Blaze smirks at the other's tactics of survival. She too doesn't give away trust, maybe acquaintanceship? Never friendship, such a thing is pure folly. "Oh, certainly not love. I wouldn't even trust myself. Even as a mind reader, I wouldn't deal out trust so easily. They are fools if they think that sane." She would have said they're fools as it is, but that sort of goes without saying. Twolegs though, now they're another story. "Ah, but a kitten will follow by her mother's example, no? I suppose Soleil had no ulterior thoughts. It was food, and her mother was eating it. Having a kittypet father who's humans fed her was probably a good thing in her mind. As for dogs, they are slobbering beasts with hot air between their ears. Certainly nothing worth trust anyway, or even acknowledgement really."
Blaze actually laughs slightly at her tip. It's more of an amused chuckle, thick with mockery and laced with verbal poison. It is, however, the closest she's ever gotten to a laugh. "I dear say child, your logic is certainly spot on. However, what's the fun in merely not dying? If you wanted to avoid death, you could join a clan or become a kittypet. You'd have a much better shot at staying alive there." She shakes her head, clearly intruiged yet amused by her perspective. "No dear, to survive is to live, and to live means to take risks. No point surviving nothing, yes? Why lead a boring life when you could take risks and die as someone who knew how to live?" Most of her questions are rhetorical. She has little interest of the child's opinion.

Serenity nodded thoughtfully, but didn't speak. If that was the case, then different spirits worked with different cats in different ways. That ment, she thought with a shudder, the her mom had died and her brother had run away to get away from her, not some spirit like her thoughts suggested. She also knew it wasn't a spirit that was still there for her brother, so her brother was dead or still avoiding her. "Interesting." she muttered. She knew how the spirit would need the cat to survive, but... "Ok, so if you leave Soleil, there's some sort of withdrawl. But it seems like you are quite a bit older than Soleil. Why would you not be able to leave any time you want?" she asked curiously.
Serenity nodded. "That is a very valid point, but I take it Soleil only recently came here. That means she would have probably only recently have left. After a while one would learn to think for them selves on such things." she said, listening to Blaze's Description of dogs. "Acctually, most dogs are different. Some don't slobber. And most that twolegs live around are tiny and really make high pitched noises that are barks for other dogs. I only know this because I've been around the two leg place quite a bit. I don't like that they think I eat cats. Plus it's amusing until I do. I don't want them thinking that, or they may think I'm a lot nicer than I am." she laughed.
"I might consider it, but let's face it, kitty pets don't have a real life, and again, to trusting, and clans are completely consisted around trust. In order to survive you have to do much more than not die. that's just a tip. I'd rather take risks and be willing to live a boring life, but you never take dumb risks, or you'll die in a useless way. There are so many dumb ways to die, and I try my best to avoid them all." she said, answering the questions as they came, though they were retorical.

Blaze simply shrugs, uninterested. There is also the fact that she doesn't quite remember the process of joining Soleil, neither does the child, so she's not really sure how leaving would work either. "Let's just say, it wasn't quite my idea. And I'm not really sure if she'd have a withdrawal as such, it's more the fact that me being 'removed', per say, will most likely kill her." She doesn't mention it may very well end her as well. The only know way for Blaze to move on in her opinion, is for Sol to die. And to be completely honest, she was rather enjoying having a physical body, so such isn't exactly on the top of her list.
"You're assumptions ring true. However, I convinced her to stop trusting those retched being a long time back, since we killed her father, I suppose?" She pasues briefly to smile a little evilly in reminiscence of that fateful day. Oh how she'd loved killed that blasted kittypet Tom. He was such a fool. To bad she didn't quite snatch those little boys on the run though. "She was sort of a rogue that strayed too close to home for too long, I suppose. Seemed to get sick of it though, almost as much as I, so here we are." She shrugs nonchalantly and runs her tongue over her paw absentmindedly. Ignoring practically everything the younger feline says unless it's of interest to her.
Eventually, Blaze found herself getting bored. She didn't like to hang around chatting for long. It wasn't interesting what so ever, even if this child was tolerable. "I guess I'm deciding where to go for now. Perhaps you might show me around your little rogue clan? I'm curious about their value of death. And Soleil could use a bit of turoring from someone she'll listen to willingly." She chuckles a little darkly in clear amusement at the thought. "I'm assuming those who possess another are not a young cat's choice tutor. She'll learn eventually." Blaze gets to her paws, and without bothering for a response, begins to follow the scents toward this 'Deathclan.'

Serenity nodded with an understanding smile, her tasting blood on her toung as she bit her lip to keep from physically reacting to the wave after wave of memories that she thought she had forgotten long ago. Her father, how he had died at her hand. How she had held his heart into her claws. Her youngest siblings, how she had sat by and watched their slaughter. Her eldest sister, her claws stained with her limp bodies blood in a fit of rage that had quickly subsided into terror. These had subsided from her night mares long ago, and she knew there was more to come if her thought train kept on, so she bit deeper into her lip, blood spattering at her tounge in a faster rate as she happily paid more attention to the pain than thee dreaded thoughts. "I understand how Soleil would have felt. I was quite young and ignorant when my father died." she said once the taste of blood on her tounge faded.
"I'd assume she'd feel horrible for leaving his mother though." she said, slightly amused as she pushed aside her thoughts, not caring anymore on the outside, but hating herself on the inside. "Sure. I could show you around?" she responded emotionlessy. "Although I'm not sure Soleil would exactly accept tutoring from me, it would be better if you went off and found some other cat for that." she added, her emotions conflicted as she started walking, suddenly freezing eventually, and she shook her head. She was not going to be upset over killing anymore. She looked at the river, longing to dunk herself in the cold water, but she pulled herself together and put a smile on her face. She was not wanting to go through it herself, but no way was she going to show off her emotions like some pity seeking kit. "Not much to show though." she smiled more perkily, her acting good enough to fool any cat that she was better and over her little fit.

Blaze pricks her ears in amusement at the feline's reaction. She bites into her lip and freezes up like she's been caught by twolegs and isn't sure what to do. She hold back a laugh. For some reason, having Soleil clawed to pieces because Blaze laughed at some Deathclanner doesn't sound very useful. No, it's sounds rather interfering, and a little irritating. So she holds her tongue and keeps her face serene and emotionless as she waits. She doesn't shield the younger from her amusement, however, just keeps it contained.
Blaze laughs at this, because that was the true amusing part. "Oh no, dear. She didn't leave her mother. More, her mother chased her out because after killing her father, she started blaming it on me. Her mother clearly thought her insane." Blaze chuckles at this, before regaining her slightly amused serenity and tilting her ears forward slightly. She keeps walking, knowing full well the other feline was going to accept and show her around. She did slow a moment to let the other catch up though, as it would be easier to merely follow. "Don't fret dear, I wasn't referring to you. Any Deathclanner will probably do." She shrugs nonchalantly. She doesn't really care much for it. She gives a slight nod at the female's comment, but doesn't react other than that. Just follows her a little boredly. Clearly the child is trying to convince that she's over her little fit. She outwardly seems so, but Blaze is convinced otherwise. However, she doesn't care.

Serenity nodded, blocking out the part of her mind that kept wandering back to her past so she could think about the present. "Good, because if you were then you would be in for a huge disappointment." she laughed. "I'd get some one who is not still a youngling." she added. Though she was a good fighter and could hunt, she was not a good teacher and would be a horrible choice to train another cat, no matter what in.
Serenity glanced up into the blinding sun, thinking for a moment as she caught up, but not passing the other cat, rather chosing to make sure she wasn't attacked from behind. "Just a warning, unless you want your face mauled in, don't go near anyone's den." she said, knowing how that could effect a cat's thought train. "We are currently being ruled by a cat named dove, though that may change at any time if some one choses to take over." she informed, putting on a tour guide facade for the sake of the fact that she was showing the other cat around a territory that she hadn't been in for all that long.

Blaze just sort of nods. She doesn't really care who trains the child, it'd just be rather helpful if someone would teach her something useful. She probably wouldn't obey this child anyway, seeing as she's most likely heard a good part of their conversation. Blaze looks around, making sure to gather scents and location markers as they walk. At least if Soleil gets lost, Blaze can inform her where to go.
Blaze took note with an amused smirk that the child refused to pass her. If she wanted her gone, Blaze would have killed the youngling already. Her ears twitch back to listen as she strolls along calmly, not even bothering to mask her amusement. She finds she rather likes this place, and is Soleil promises to stay here, she'll back off a little unless she wants to talk to someone. "Don't worry dear, I wasn't planning on it." She chuckles slightly, though it's only half hearted and more just because she felt like it. She finds herself aware that this cat seems to know rather little about her home. Perhaps the child hasn't been here long. Blaze pricks her ears and nods to herself. "I hear she's a lot softer than your previous leader" she muses, thinking.

Serenity didn't respond in anyway, making sure her face stayed blankk as well. In truth she hadn't known the leader before dove, but she had gathered more information of the clan than she let on. If she shared all she knew... Well she didn't have a reason, she just wouldn't. She picked up the pace slightly, expacting Blaze to catch up but not really caring if she didn't. A walk on her own would be a grace at that moment. She wouldn't say that though, she didn't want to come off as ruder than she was on the adverage day.
She took a moment to think deep beneath the walls that seperated her thoughts from her emotions and motions. 'I have lost so much since I was born not 8 moons ago. I don't care about that though. I lost so much, but now that I think about what I lost... I need to investigate. What really happened on that night? Because I don't remember anything, but I would remember if I killed my own family, wouldn't I? But my claws were soaked in their blood, I remember. I killed them, but don't remember it. How?' she thought to herself. She looked up towards Blaze as she relised she had started speeding up more and more, thouggh she hadn't quite gotten to a jog. She checked back to make sure the red youngling still kept up.

Blaze hadn't expected to be graced with a response, so she shrugged nonchalantly and kept walking. Her paws carried her smoothly across the landscape, and her eyes roved to pick off any information that may or may not be helpful. She caught the scent of prey, and noted it. It was too far away to bother, but she'd remember it for later. She was briefly aware she hadn't let Soleil eat the fish, but Blaze personally didn't get hungry, so the child would be fine while she's in charge. The other is walking faster now. Just slightly. And she's sort of ignoring her. Blaze smirks and keeps up easily. It isn't long before the child has almost moved to a jog. Blaze chuckles in amusement because she knows the feline is deep in some sort of thought or another. She bounds to catch up and falls into step beside her. "Getting a little antsy now, are we?" Her voice comes out in a darkly amused and teasing purr. She wonders briefly what the youngling is thinking, before deciding she doesn't care. "You know, I might be on my way soon. Tell me, does your little clan of sorts have a certain place for dens and a camp? We might just join you."
