Pardalis tapped at the river water curiously, surprised by how cold it was. The sun felt exceptionally hot today, but apparently that didn't affect the water. She leaned down for a drink, but instead opened her mouth as if she was biting into prey, then lifted her head high in the air to swallow the water. It was the only correct way to drink it.

Serenity sat, watching the water to see if there were any fish coming by, her paw in the water to be ready to catch any fish. She knew that their were faster ways to build op he in case of emergency food supply in her nest, but this one kept her cool on the hot day. She grabbed a fish with her claws, swiping it up out of the water and catching it in her mouth. Then she saw another cat getting a drink of water in a rather... odd way. "Hello." she greeted.

Pardalis leaped back at the sound of a voice. She narrowed her eyes, focusing on the white she-cat. "You look like a cloud. I don't like clouds." She said simply, turning and walking away. She stopped again once further down the river, then continued to drink.

"A cloud?" she asked in disbelief. "Don't call me a cloud then walk away." she called as she walked after the other cat, fish still in her mouth.

Pardalis frowned, eyes suddenly wide and afraid. She bounced around and stared at Serenity. "You cats are silly. Can't you see that you look exactly like a cloud?"

Serenity tilted her head, looking at her reflection in the river. The waves chopped it up, but she couldn't see it. "I look nothing like a cloud." she stated."I look more like a... eh, ok, I look a bit like a cloud."

Pardalis did a little hop. "Yeah! That's what I'm saying." She hopped over to a nearby twig, picked it up, and threw it at her. "I guess you don't really act like a cloud, though..."

"A cloud is lazy and fat." she joked with one of her perfectly real fake smiles. "No way." she dropped her fish for a little at her paws, not wanting to have it muffle er speech or to tempt her into eating it.

"No! Clouds are constantly moving! They're mean, cruel, and white!" Pardalis exclaimed, having many feelings about the subject at hand. "I bet you're related to a cloud, though."

"Clouds are not mean. And I am not mean. Oh, well, maybe I am, but clouds are still not mean." she complianed. "And I am not related to a cloud. Clouds are just a bunch of water.

"Clouds ARE mean." At Serenity's next words, Pardalis looked at the river and screamed.

"You said clouds were a bunch of water!" She squeaked, lashing her tail behind her. "Are you made of water, then?"

Pardalis screeched again. "So that proves it! You're a real cloud!" She backed away quickly, ears flattened to her skull.
