Scarletkit lashed out without her claws, though it wasn't that strong. Not that she was trying with strength. Maybe she could mix a pounce with slash.

Whitepaw grinned when Scarletkit slashed her claws out. His leg was slightly grazed by them, but once again, he wasn't bothered as it just felt like a small scratch. "That was good!" He purred, suddenly having a good idea, "Perhaps you could try that and the pounce at the same time?" He suggested, thinking that it would be quite effective.

Scarlet shook her head. "Might be dangerous acctually doing that on a cat." she pointed out. "Isn't it possible to use a rock or something as an alternitive?

Whitepaw nodded in agreement, "I think I have soe moss somewhere which might be easier as it's not hard," He said, "I'll be right back," The black cat said as he walked towards the apprentice's den to go get some from his nest.

Scarletkit nodded, but looked around and saw a log adn pointed with her tail. "More cat sized then some moss I think." she called as she inspected the log and the softish wood.

Whitepaw's ears pricked at the sound of Scarletkit talking again and once again agreed, "Ok," He purred, "Go get that log and try it on there," He meowed with a smile, going back to the space in camp where they were previously. Although he ended up moving again towards the log, just incase Scarletkit couldn't carry it by herself. He really needed to stop moving around so much.

"Try it on?" she asked, confused. "Why?" she asked as she got a consederable distance away before pouncing with her paw extended and she swiped, leaving marks, even with her super short claws.

Whitepaw stayed silent as he watched Scarletkit swipe at the log, leaving claw marks on the log. He purred as he looked at the scratches, smiling as he looked at her. "Well done," He purred, "Anything specific you'd like to try?"

Scarletkit thought for a moment before shaking her head. "Nope." she smiled not really caring what she learned, but happy that she was doing something useful with her time in terms of learning stuff.

Whitepaw nodded and suggested an idea, "Maybe we could try hunting?" He said, "I could get a mouse off of the fresh-kill pile and you could try hunt it," He smiled. It was something he did as a kit, although he was using a pebble and ended up getting caught looking like an idiot by their uncle. It was pretty embarrassing for him, but he doubted anything bad could happen from this.

Scarletkit nodded. "Yeah, that would be very fun." she said. "Wouldn't acctually animals move though?"

"Yeah they would, but there's no prey in camp because they try to avoid cats," He explained, "Unless you want me to sneak you out of camp?" He asked. It sounded pretty fun to be honest. When he was a kit, he always wanted to leave camp.

"Alright," Whitepaw purred, watching as Scarletkit placed a mouse down. He began to whisper as if they were actually hunting a living mouse, "You gotta keep quiet," He continued, "If it was a real mouse, it would run away if it heard yo."

Scarletkit nodded, taking the extra percaution to sneak up on it from behind a rock so her bright pelt wouldn't catch the sun. "Like this?" she mouthed, poking her head out from behind the rock.
