Pain

Patch was bored, she was hanging out in Deathclan for the time being and was rather quiet. She was lying at the trunk of the lone tree in the field, her favorite place to hang out. The tree meant a lot to her, she had multiple meetings with Pain there, and today was no different.

Patch's eyes stared at the sight of the black tom as he appeared. She lifted her head and blinked. "Hey... Pain." She meowed casually.

[Pain]

"hey kid" he said awkwardly rubbing the back of hid head with a paw. " I know you have had it tough lately and I really should not be doing this now but I got a lead and I need to follow it" he tried to explain before sighing " I'm going away for a few moons."

[Patch]

Patch listened closely, her ears pricked up. "Don't worry about it, I'm fine." She said quickly, getting to her paws and staring blankly at the tom. She didn't feel fine that much, but she didn't want Pain to feel bad. "You got a lead on your dad? Well, if you do find him, say that your..." She stopped for a second, thinking it over. Well, he was the closest thing in her mind to an actual parent, and Nighthowl wasn't big with her emotions anymore.

"Tell him your daughter said goodbye."

"What do you mean" he asked.

[Patch]

Patch snorted a little, but felt a little down by Pain's reply. "I um... I kinda look up to you as a father." She smiled faintly. How was he going to react, anyways? Oh Cloudclan.

[Pain]

"but have no power over you" he shrugged. He then smiled and ruffled the fur between her ears with a paw "I think of you more like a kid sister.

[Patch]

Patch laughed as the fur on the top of her head was ruffled, she shuffled her paws. "Eh, I can live with either, you can be an older protective brother or something." She replied, shrugging. "So what was the lead?"

[Pain]

Pain her very still. " he's alive and he hasn't left the area.

[Patch]

Patch smiled a little, tilting her head. "I would go with you if I could... But the barn. Anyways, it's a family matter." She rambled, shrugging.

[Pain]

he shook his head "tho is my journey anyway" he paused "i thought your parents were dead"

[Patch]

"They should be, but they might be alive with more stupid kits to fill the void of the kit they thought was dead. Anyways, I was talking 'bout your dad." Patch explained, shrugging.

[Pain]

"oh but what about the barn" he asked giving her a cold look.

[Patch]

Patch froze, her green eyes shifted to her paws. She thought of the nice cats in the barn, Woollypaw, Icelily, Riverpaw... Why did she ever open her mouth, she's going to be hated so much. "The barn is well, new apprentices and warriors. I've picked up something Icelily did during training with her."

[Pain]

Pain gave cold stare to her green eyes"Stay away from from the clans"

[Patch]

Patch flinched back a little, "But... My mission? What about that?" She said, confused.
