Aspenpaw peaked her head into the medicine cat's den, her brown nose recoiling at the scent of herbs. She had been putting off this visit for far too long, and she knew but. Still, she wished she could trot back to her nest in the apprentices den and sleep her injury off. "Honeyfur?" the russet tabby called out shyly, hoping he wouldn't answer, "Grayshade?" The she-cat slipped into the den, not putting any pressure on her swollen back right paw. She had caught the paw on a rabbit hole during her assessment, causing her to slip and fall down the side of a hill. The bruises from the fall had healed fairly quickly, seeing as the apprentice was pretty clumsy and had to deal with bruises often, but her paw was causing her a lot of trouble.

"I'm here, but I think Grayshade might be out for now," the golden tom responded. The patient was older than him, so he assumed that she would have rather preferred Grayshade over him, but oh well. He noticed the limp that she had and frowned. "Is it just a limp, or is there something else going on too?" he asked.
'Nettle for the swelling, marigold for infection, garlic if she's been attacked,' he recited.

Aspenpaw could feel her throat tighten as one of the medicine cats showed up, and her tail-tip twitched nervously. "I-I'm not all that sure," she mewed, looking back at her swollen paw, "I snagged it on a rabbit hole while I was hunting a few weeks ago. It sort of tripped me up and made me fall down a hill 'n stuff," the she-cat shuffled her paws, knowing that the whole event probably sounded a bit silly, "the bruises from the fall healed pretty quickly, but I think something wrongs with my back paw," the tabby sat down and stretched out her injured paw. The swelling was focused just about her actually paw, on the lower part of her leg, although it was a little hard to tell through her long pelt. She pointed at the area where the swelling was focused, "I'm not too sure what's wrong? I don't think it's broken--I mean, I would assume I'd be able tell if it was."
