give me time and give me space - Flintpaw only please <3 Ignore my weird lyric titles.- Whitepaw purred as he lay in his nest in the nursery. He was getting used to being an apprentice now. It actually wasn't too different than being a kit, just there were more things he was allowed to do, like leave camp. A smile graced his black and white face as he decided that he should go get a lizard to eat, so he lifted himself from his nest and- making sure that he didn't wake anyone up- he walked away from the stuffy den. He didn't take very long and after about a minute the black apprentice found himself walking through the 'door' of the den again, however, when he entered, another cat was awake. "Oh hello," He purred, piercing blue eyes blinking, "I don't think we've met, I'm Whitepaw."

(sorry my parents gave me a surprise visit! free lunch and dinner!)
Flintpaw opened his sleepy yellow eyes. He half expected his mentor to come wake him up for training, but at the same time he knew that was a rare occasion. "I'm Flintpaw." The dark tom said while yawning. He had grown to enjoy sleeping. He was always bouncy and wild when he was a kit. Now his apprentice duties drained him. "Don't worry about waking me. I'm a really light sleeper." He rose to his paws and shook his pelt. "I can pretty much hear everyone's pawsteps." Flintpaw's tone seemed almost annoyed, but he seemed content at the same time.

give me time and give me space "It's nice to meet you, Flint paw, " Whitepaw purred, although he felt a little guilty that he had been the one to wake the other cat. Although, he guessed it was okay considering he wasn't being yelled at for disturbing another cats sleep. He made his way back to his nest, bright eyes focused on Flintpaw as he began to speak again, "So... How's life?" He asked, trying to start a conversation.

The question wiped all of the emotion out of his face. He averted his eyes for a moment, but then he forced himself to smile. "Want to go swimming? I really like how the water feels in my fur and I haven't gotten to do it in a while." Flintpaw didn't even answer the other tom. He just changed the subject to cancel out all of his thoughts. This cat isn't ignoring you...he's...acknowledging you..

give me time and give me space Whitepaw nodded in response, "Sure," He smiled. The black and white cat actually did not know how to swim and would probably end up drowning or screaming the moment the water touched his pelt. But oh well, he wanted to make more friends and he guessed that doing what they wanted was the easiest way to achieve that, "Where we gonna go?" He asked, white whiskers twitching.

Flintpaw tried to think of his clan's territory. He had only left it a few times. Most of his duties trapped him in the elder's den or around the camp helping others out. All he could remember that the water was past the boulder pass. "We would have to sneak out of camp." His mentor was never around. Who would stop him? Flintpaw smirked at the other apprentice. "Are you up for it?"

give me time and give me space Whitepaw stuck his pink tongue out for a moment, licking his lips before replying, "Yes, I'm up for it," He said, "Sneaking out doesn't bother me at all," He meowed truthfully, looking at the camp exit in the distance. He lashed his long tail, "You lead the way," He smiled.

"Just be casual." Flintpaw held his tail and head high as he strode across camp. He quickly checked for other warriors, or even worse, Cloverstar. The apprentices seemed to be clear. Flintpaw looked over his shoulder at Whitepaw and then laughed when he broke off into a sprint. He almost had no idea where he was going.

give me time and give me space Whitepaw nodded as he walked quietly, trying to make it look like he was off to do something like clean the nursery or elders den. He couldn't help but smile about the fact that he was leaving camp again, though. His ears pricked, surprised, when he heard Flintpaw laugh and growled a little when he saw that the other apprentice was now sprinting away. He ran after them, a little slower but managing to catch up nonetheless.

Flintpaw was barely even paying attention. He was so excited to get out of the camp that it blinded all of his other senses. After a few minutes, he was out of breath. The apprentice began to slow down. But he could see the boulder pass in the distance. "It's just past there!" I think!

give me time and give me space Whitepaw also began to slow down, copying Flintpaw as he wasn't quite sure where the two were going. He knew that it was to some water, but he ha no idea whe the water was considering he still found the territory confusing. "Alright," He purred with a smile, waiting to see where Flintpaw went.

Flintpaw leaped onto a boulder. Then another. He began his ascent up the boulder pass. Climbing them seemed almost natural to him. The apprentice stopped on his third jump. "I bet you can't beat me up there!" He teased, waving his tail.

give me time and give me space Whitepaw grinned, challenging Flintpaw back, "Bet I can!" He said, beginning to climb and jump up the rocks, purring as he did so. He had always been a talented climber for his age, although Flintpaw seemed pretty good too. However, Whitepaw- beng the competetive cat he was- tried to climb faster.

Flintpaw, still being exhausted from running, began to slow down. He then realized how high up they were, but almost immediately ignored it because they were having fun. It was nice having a friend. "Aw, you beat me!" Flintpaw pouted as they made it to the top. Which was a whole lot safer than the climb.

give me time and give me space -Ahh I want cake but the closest thing I have is fudge-
Whitepaw grinned when he heard Flintpaw speak again. Of course the competitive little kitty had won, he knew he was talented. "Better luck next time," He said, blinking his bright eyes as he looked down at how far they had climbed. They were pretty high, but it wasn't like they were going to fall so he was alright with that.
