(Autumn )
I'm certainly beginning to make good use of my little escapist hole. Hidden away in the corner of camp, I can pretend to be seeking shade when I'm actually sneaking off into the territory. I suppose someone will eventually take notice, and I should probably be more descreet, but where's the fun in anything if there is no risk in being found out. As I'm wandering through tout the territory, I almost swerve toward Treeclan once more, as it seems to be becoming sort of a routine. And then I decide I want to go somewhere else for once. Not Fireclan of course. No, somewhere new. Somewhere completely different. Even if it is only a border. The rumours I'd been hearing in the apprentice den come to mind, and I spark a devious grin as my tail waves slightly in excitement. What could possibly be any more different than a kittypet? Other than another creature of course. My ears prick excitedly, and focusing with my one seeing eye of gold, I bound off in the direction it's rumoured to lay.
My memory takes me some of the way, until a strange scent catches my attention and leads my paws for the remainder. As I get ever closer, I find myself squinting at what looks like large white barricades. Like flat vertical rocks. My eyes narrow, and I approach more hesitantly. My paws stall at the territory border, and I realise I can't see over the fence. Scowling, I wander along slightly toward the corner of our border when I find a tree. Thinking back to all my practicing, and Mosspaw's slight lessons, I grin excitedly and bunch the muscles in my haunches. Aiming for the lowest branch, I release the tension like a child Spring, and land lightly upon the branch. Digging my claws in for grip, though careful not to snag them, I stalk along the branch until I can see over the fence into what looks like a clearing, a clearing with a huge den squatted in the middle of it. A shiver prickles my spine because it seems so unnatural. I sit down upon my branch a little ways away from the fence, and crouch to peer down. That is when I see another cat, and offer them a grin. "Hi there! I'm Flurrypaw. Who're you?"
